Cinco De Mayo Party with Sauza-Rita

Hi Everyone,

Today I am planning for a Cinco De Mayo Girls Night Out! Woohoo!! What fun! You already know I love Mexican and this is the perfect party for me! Spicy Mexican food, salsa music and one of my favorite drinks, Margaritas! After all a Cinco De Mayo party is not a party without Margaritas!

Time to plan the party!!! The first thing to do for planning a party is pick a date, that’s simple, especially since it’s Cinco De Mayo and that falls on May 5th and that happens to be a Sunday this year, so I will have the party on Saturday, May 4th! Great, date is officially picked. Next thing to do is get the invitations together. How many girls do I want to have at my no man allowed party? I think 5 or 6 would be perfect!

Next is food! That’s easy, peppers. peppers, peppers and hot sauce! Ok this is a party for everyone, not just me! Since it’s a later party, and I am sure everyone will have eaten dinner, so I will probably have just a small appetizer party. Just a few things to nibble on as we chat, laugh, and gossip!

I’m debating about the following treats.

Now that we have a good idea what to eat, what she would drink? How about this fabulous recipe from Sauza Tequila?

Time to whip up a pitcher of Sauza- Rita’s! This is a wonderful, different spin to traditional margaritas. This margarita is made with beer. Sounds crazy, but the beer adds a nice taste and a little fizz to the margarita. It’s made with limeade concentrate, beer and of course Sauza Blue 100% Blue Agave Tequila.

This recipe is made in a matter of minutes and is perfect for serving for a Girls Night Out, or even on a hot summers night. It’s light, refreshing, sweet with a nice tang. My Husband and I were surprised on how good it tasted! When I told my Husband it was made with beer, he was like no way, but it was, but of course I used a light beer.

A sweet twist to a traditional margarita made with limeade, beer and Sauza Blue Tequila.

Serves: 48 oz

Ingredients

12 oz an frozen limeade concentrate
12 oz water
12 oz light beer (I used Bud Light)
12 oz Sauza® Blue Tequila

Instructions

Pour limeade can and water into pitcher. Then add a bottle of light beer (trust us, its really good). Fill limeade can with Sauza Blue Tequila and pour into pitcher. Stir and serve over ice.

One thing I strongly believe in and I plan on doing this at my party is ask the ladies to be dropped off at my home and get picked up or have a cab take them home. If anyone drives themselves, I will take their car keys and have a cab or my Husband drive them home. I don’t believe that anyone should drink and drive. Parties are meant to be fun and drinking and driving is not fun, so be sure to drink responsibly and always have a designated driver.
