Birthday Cake Smoothie – Guest Posting

Hi Everyone and Happy Friday to you!!

Today you are not going to find me here!  I am guest blogging over at ” Mom, Whats for Dinner?” blog.  My good blogging friend Christi, who I had the honor of meeting last year, asked me to fill in for her while she rests.  Recently Christi has become very ill, so I wanted to give her a hand and fill in for her for the day.  Christi’s blog, Mom, What’s for Dinner is a gluten-free recipe blog with a ton of fabulous recipes.  You don’t have to be gluten-free to enjoy them either!   So after you check out my post, you need to search around her site and discover all of the new recipes!  Trust me, she has a ton of great ones and some really creative ones!  I love her blog!

Since Christi isn’t feeling well, I thought I would try to cheer her up and give her a Birthday Cake Smoothie.  After all, sprinkles can put a smile on anybody’s face.  I know it’s not her birthday, but why do you need a birthday to have a fun drink?  I say you don’t!

So stop by Mom, What’s for Dinner and say hi!  tell her I sent you over!  🙂

A fun healthy smoothie, made with non-fat milk, yogurt and sprinkles.
Ingredients
  • ½ cup non-fat milk, or your favorite kind
  • 1 cup greek yogurt plain or vanilla
  • 1 tsp. butter extract
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract (omit if using vanilla flavored yogurt)
  • 2 pkt. stevia (to taste)
  • 1 cup ice
  • sprinkles
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients in a blender, except sprinkles and process until combined and smooth. Top with a few sprinkles.
Notes
Note: Start off with ½ teaspoon of the butter extract and work your way up from there. Depending on the yogurt you use, the extract can be very strong. Also, if you use vanilla yogurt, do not use the vanilla extract.

Have a great weekend!!!  I’ll see you back here tomorrow with a fun giveaway!!!!

Toodles,

Jennifer
