Hi Everyone,
Happy Saturday to you! Since it’s Saturday and Saturdays should be fun days! You know the days where you go out and do something that you wouldn’t do during the week, like have a picnic, get pedicures, go for hikes, go shopping, maybe go to the city. Well today I have a fun Saturday planned for you. But first let me give you my super quick, not great pictures, super easy recipe of all times. This is my Fat Free Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Yogurt.
When I come home from work, I always like to have a snack, which normally involves yogurt. I love yogurt, it’s healthy, full of protein and it tastes like dessert. I usually have a dollop of peanut butter and mixed fruit in it, but today I was craving chocolate. I am not the biggest chocolate craver, normally I like spicy and salty foods, but there are some days that I just need chocolate! You know what I am talking about! So I whipped together the most simple little yogurt parfait ever! It’s made with a frozen banana, plain greek yogurt, cocoa powder and peanut butter extract. Yup Peanut Butter extract! I normally like to drizzle peanut butter in my yogurt, but I was out!! I know, me out of peanut butter, that is like committing a sin or something. So I decided to try out some Watkins Peanut Butter extract.
The extract worked like a charm! I had my chocolate and peanut butter taste without the fat! I LOVE it!! It’s a perfect substitute for my peanut butter! Grant it, I love peanut butter way more, but this worked perfectly and best of all no extra calories and no fat!!! This little yogurt cup would normally would be near 300 calories, but this recipe is only 162 calories! Woohoo!!!
I LOVE my extracts! I have a bazillion of them. They really add some nice extra flavor without adding additional calories. Especially when you use an extract like peanut butter or butter! Those calories could really add up. But please note, peanut butter is healthy for you and I eat it everyday, even if it is to just dip my apples in!! Butter on the other hand, that’s just fat!! I rarely use butter unless it’s in baking or I really need it in a recipe. A stick of butter can last months in my house!
- 1 medium banana, frozen
- ½ cup plain greek yogurt, 0% fat
- 1 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ tsp. peanut butter extract
- ¼ tsp. stevia (optional)
- Place all of the ingredients in a blender or food processor and process until smooth.
So what do I have for the giveaway? Check it out below!
How fun is this? Since I like you, and I want you to be able to make fat free fun treats like me I am giving you the following:

Almond milk would be good in that smoothie! Yummers!
I’d make a bunch of your recipes 🙂

I can’t believe I have lived this long and didn’t realize there was a peanut butter extract. I would definitely try to make a sugar-free peanut butter syrup to go on waffles. We don’t like the taste of the sugar-free maple syrup.
Oh my gosh! I LOVE that idea! Love it! Hmmmmm, that will be tough, but I bet it can be done!! I need to think about that one!!

Oh Jen, you have made my day. Peanut butter extract. There is an ice cream place here in WI who makes root beer ice cream. They use root beer concentrate with the ice cream. I’d try and use the xtract to make frozen root beer yogurt. I’m salivating as I type.
Oh my gosh! Man Karen, I need to make that! I bet it would be incredible, frozen root beer yogurt! I am all over that!!!
