FF Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Yogurt / Giveaway

August 3, 2013 By Jennifer @ PB and P Design 101 Comments

Hi Everyone,

Happy Saturday to you!  Since it’s Saturday and Saturdays should be fun days!  You know the days where you go out and do something that you wouldn’t do during the week, like have a picnic, get pedicures, go for hikes, go shopping,  maybe go to the city.  Well today I have a fun Saturday planned for you.  But first let me give you my super quick, not great pictures, super easy recipe of all times.  This is my Fat Free Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Yogurt.

Fat Free Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Yogurt

When I come home from work, I always like to have a snack, which normally involves yogurt.  I love yogurt, it’s healthy, full of protein and it tastes like dessert.  I usually have a dollop of peanut butter and mixed fruit in it, but today I was craving chocolate.  I am not the biggest chocolate craver, normally I like spicy and salty foods, but there are some days that I just need chocolate!  You know what I am talking about!  So I whipped together the most simple little yogurt parfait ever!  It’s made with a frozen banana, plain greek yogurt, cocoa powder and peanut butter extract.  Yup Peanut Butter extract!  I normally like to drizzle peanut butter in my yogurt, but I was out!!  I know, me out of peanut butter, that is like committing a sin or something.  So I decided to try out some Watkins Peanut Butter extract.

Watkins Peanut Butter Extract

The extract worked like a charm!  I had my chocolate and peanut butter taste without the fat!  I LOVE it!!  It’s a perfect substitute for my peanut butter!  Grant it, I love peanut butter way more, but this worked perfectly and best of all no extra calories and no fat!!!  This little yogurt cup would normally would be near 300 calories, but this recipe is only 162 calories!  Woohoo!!!

I LOVE my extracts!  I have a bazillion of them.  They really add some nice extra flavor without adding additional calories.  Especially when you use an extract like peanut butter or butter!  Those calories could really add up.  But please note, peanut butter is healthy for you and I eat it everyday, even if it is to just dip my apples in!!  Butter on the other hand, that’s just fat!!  I rarely use butter unless it’s in baking or I really need it in a recipe.  A stick of butter can last months in my house!

Happy Thursday! It’s been a crazy week over at m Happy Thursday! It’s been a crazy week over at my house this week. I started rearranging things around and left messes throughout my house. I start in one spot and it spread throughout. I need to do some major cleanup before the weekend.
💙
One thing I did was change my table in my dining room. I went more neutral until I start to bring the lemons out. I can’t wait for lemon season. I already have a tablescape in mind.
💙
I got the cute Home Sweet Home sign from my friend Brantley from @thesassyoak. It’s in the perfect spot. When you walk into my house you see the table right away. Isn’t the sign so cute? It matches my home so beautifully.
💙
What are your plans for the weekend?

Happy Wednesday!! Half way through the week. Boy I Happy Wednesday!! Half way through the week. Boy I can’t wait for the weekend. I’m looking so forward to finish working in the garden. Well, technically it will never be finished, which I don’t mind. I want to plant a tomato this weekend. Just not sure what kind?
🌿
I refreshed my living room just a tad bit. I took down most of the bunnies, and that is all. I had a lot of them. It made me realize that I forgot my coffee bar. I still have bunnies, chicks and eggs on it. They’ll have to come down this week.
🌿
I have a surprise! Swipe my photo and you’ll see Sampson! He hasn’t made an appearance here in awhile. He said he misses you all!
🌿
Are you planting any vegetables this season?

☕️hello, hello! I’m sharing with you my Chin ☕️hello, hello! I’m sharing with you my China that my Mom gave me. As a child I always loved this set. My Mom got these by saving the stamps you would get from the grocery store with purchase. Each piece of China had a stamp value. So once you collected enough stamps you could pick up another piece of the collection. Needless to say, my Mom collected a lot of stamps and I have the whole set to serve 12 people.☕️

Happy Thursday! I changed up my dining room a lit Happy Thursday! I changed up my dining room a little bit. I took out my Easter decor and gave it a more neutral look and did some switching around. Plus I added a Samantha Sue, who is laying down in the photo. lol
🍓
One of my favorite pieces that I added was my new @krumpetshomedecor sign. I love the style of the sign with the shiplap white wash look and of course the cute strawberry and daisies that add a pretty pop of color.
🍓
The sign is also reversible. It also says Life is Sweet on the other side without the strawberries and daises. The sign is the Krumpets Home Decor deal of the week.
🍓
You can get free shipping and an additional 10% off with my discount: PBANDP.

Hello and happy Wednesday! Thank you for all your Hello and happy Wednesday! Thank you for all your kind words about the dentist. All he had to do is cement my crown back on. He said your crown has sticky with clear stuff on it. He said I don’t think it’s the old cement? I told him I ate a white Trader Joe’s jelly bean and I thought I got it all off. He was laughing.

It’s that time of year for house plant care. While your plants are waking from dormancy, it’s time to feed them, repot them if needed and give a trim if applicable.
🌿
I also water my plants about every 7-10 days, depending on the plant. My coffee plant, fern, violet and my mixed plant container needs watering more. The key to know when to water is check the soil. I use a water meter probe and you just stick it in the dirt. If it’s dry, I water. If it’s moist or wet, I’ll check again in a few days. You can get a water meter at Lowe’s, your local nursery or Amazon. It’s my number 1 garden tool. We use it on outside plants too.
🌿
I’m also sharing with you my cute little tea towel that I got from @e.h.designco. Her shop is closed right now because she’s moving, but will be open back in June.
🌿
Okay, go check your plants!

Happy Tuesday! Well today’s the day! I head to Happy Tuesday! Well today’s the day! I head to the dentist. Wish me luck. I hope they will be able to glue my crown back on. I hate going to the dentist! Ugh!
🌸
Today I am sharing with you my new plates and bowls that I got from @sonemone_official. I just love them. The shade of blue is so pretty and I love the vibrant colors on them.
🌸
The bowls are huge and would make a wonderful soup bowl or salad bowl. The plates would be beautiful served with a charcuterie board. They are microwave and dishwasher safe. They would be so pretty on a summer tablescape.
🌸

Happy Good Friday! So happy the weekend is here. Happy Good Friday! So happy the weekend is here. It’s been a glorious week with warm temperatures and sunshine. Next week it’s supposed to cool off dramatically, so I am going to enjoy it while it’s here.
💕
I wanted to get one last Easter tiered tray in before Sunday. Everything you see here is from small shops. I tagged all of them in the photo.
💕
This weekend I’ll be taking a break from IG to work in the yard and to do some decorating so I have some new content to share with you. Though with Easter almost behind us, I’m unsure what I’ll do next? But I do think I’ll stick with the yellows? But we’ll see.
💕
Have the most wonderful weekend and Easter holiday!!

Happy Thursday! I can’t believe March is behind Happy Thursday! I can’t believe March is behind us and now we are in April. March flew by in a blink of an eye. I can’t get over how fast the month went. It’s crazy.
🌸
My excitement for me today is trying to get into a dentist. My crown on my implant fell out yesterday when I was eating a jelly bean. The last place I want to go is the dentist. Yuck!
🌸
I’ll admit engagement in March on IG has just been awful. But I am so thankful for you. Thank you for stopping by and liking my photos and your sweet comments. You always make my day. Let’s hope April is better for all of us.
🌸
I’m sharing with you my top 4 photos of March. You guys picked some good ones. The first photo of the Easter tablescape is my favorite tablescape I’ve done.
🌸
Do you have any plans for this weekend?

Hey, hey, hey! Happy Wednesday! Well I crammed 23 Hey, hey, hey! Happy Wednesday! Well I crammed 23 bunnies into this picture, if you count the bunnies on the pillow. Can you find them all?
🐰
This is probably my favorite spot to decorate. About a year or so ago, I had no idea what to do in this area. I struggled so much. It’s just an odd space. Then I bought the white bench and it instantly became so much fun to decorate.
🐰
I loved the bench so much, I bought a second one to go under the other window. That bench holds my plants. I have other awkward spaces in my home that I would love to add a bench, but my husband would kill me if I got another. I can overdo things when I like something. Like bunnies and pumpkins. lol
🐰
Do you have something that you can’t resist to buy?
