FF Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Yogurt / Giveaway

August 3, 2013 By Jennifer @ PB and P Design 101 Comments

Hi Everyone,

Happy Saturday to you!  Since it’s Saturday and Saturdays should be fun days!  You know the days where you go out and do something that you wouldn’t do during the week, like have a picnic, get pedicures, go for hikes, go shopping,  maybe go to the city.  Well today I have a fun Saturday planned for you.  But first let me give you my super quick, not great pictures, super easy recipe of all times.  This is my Fat Free Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Yogurt.

Fat Free Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Yogurt

When I come home from work, I always like to have a snack, which normally involves yogurt.  I love yogurt, it’s healthy, full of protein and it tastes like dessert.  I usually have a dollop of peanut butter and mixed fruit in it, but today I was craving chocolate.  I am not the biggest chocolate craver, normally I like spicy and salty foods, but there are some days that I just need chocolate!  You know what I am talking about!  So I whipped together the most simple little yogurt parfait ever!  It’s made with a frozen banana, plain greek yogurt, cocoa powder and peanut butter extract.  Yup Peanut Butter extract!  I normally like to drizzle peanut butter in my yogurt, but I was out!!  I know, me out of peanut butter, that is like committing a sin or something.  So I decided to try out some Watkins Peanut Butter extract.

Watkins Peanut Butter Extract

The extract worked like a charm!  I had my chocolate and peanut butter taste without the fat!  I LOVE it!!  It’s a perfect substitute for my peanut butter!  Grant it, I love peanut butter way more, but this worked perfectly and best of all no extra calories and no fat!!!  This little yogurt cup would normally would be near 300 calories, but this recipe is only 162 calories!  Woohoo!!!

I LOVE my extracts!  I have a bazillion of them.  They really add some nice extra flavor without adding additional calories.  Especially when you use an extract like peanut butter or butter!  Those calories could really add up.  But please note, peanut butter is healthy for you and I eat it everyday, even if it is to just dip my apples in!!  Butter on the other hand, that’s just fat!!  I rarely use butter unless it’s in baking or I really need it in a recipe.  A stick of butter can last months in my house!

Hi Everyone! Happy Wednesday! We are half way ther Hi Everyone! Happy Wednesday! We are half way there! I’m counting down to the weekend. It’s supposed to hit near 70 degrees which is rare for this time of year.
💕
I’m sharing with you my little Valentines vignette that I put together. Since some of you said buying candy and displaying it was considered home decor, I used the Hostess Snow Balls that my husband bought.
💕
He said your using the Snow Balls I bought for Home Decor. I said yup! It’s pink and goes with my Valentines. Now I can’t eat them because I don’t want to lose my display. Lol
💕
I was so excited to get my happy mail from @thevintagehomestudio. The tea towel and candy bar was the perfect addition to my display. I love my tea towel so much. Give me all the hearts.
💕
I’m half way through my no buying home decor challenge. So far so good, but I will tell you now, I am going to buy some flowers when I hit up Trader Joe’s this week, I just have too. I heard they got a bunch of gorgeous tulips. I must have them. But I promise that I won’t go crazy.
💕
What are your plans for the weekend?

Hey, hey, hey happy Tuesday! The days are getting Hey, hey, hey happy Tuesday! The days are getting longer and Spring will be here before we know it. #sponsored I can’t wait! Spring is my favorite season!
🌸
I’m sharing with you my new Yuri 4 piece patio set that I got from RST Brands. I love the clean lines and it’s made with certified eucalyptus wood. Plus it is so comfortable to sit on.
🌸
The beautiful light blue cushions are covered in a durable olefin fabric that is weather resistant. Plus the cushions have zippers, so you can wash the cushion covers. That’s a big plus, considering Sampson loves to sit on furniture.
🌸
I can’t wait to decorate my Yuri 4 piece seating set with throws, pillows and of course plants. When the weather warms up, I’ll take you along with me when I decorate.
🌸
Are you looking forward to Spring?

Happy Monday! As usual the weekend flew by, but I’m happy that I got some things done. I’m really trying to do some purge and organize. Slowly moving at it, one day at a time.
💕
I’m sharing with you my Valentines Day tiered tray. If you notice, I finally got a new tiered tray. Woohoo, the tiered tray is from @paperadpallet. I’m so happy to ditch my old white one. It was so crooked that I had to put a towel under to make it straight. I now finally have a straight tiered tray.
💕
I’ve been good and I still haven’t gone shopping, but after putting this tray together, I realize I don’t own any wooden hearts. I really would like some white and pink ones. I could do a diy, I don’t think that’s considered buying home decor?
💕
How was your weekend?

Hello Thursday! Hope your week is going well. So f Hello Thursday! Hope your week is going well. So far so good over here. I’ve been doing well not shopping. I had to have Target deliver groceries yesterday because I was afraid to go in that store. I have no control. 23 more days to go for my 30 day no buying home decor challenge.
🌿
I’m slowly working on refreshing my home after Christmas. I worked on this vignette in my living room. It’s really hard shopping my home. I grabbed stuff in just about every room to make this vignette.
🌿
I’m sticking with the whites and greens and added the blue vase to go with my pillow in the background. I added another faux fern, I didn’t realize how many I have floating around.
🌿
The pot the fern is in was a pot that my spider plant was in that I got from Trader Joe’s. I told you I really shopped around my home. But it’s kind of fun using things I already have.
🌿
Do you like shopping your own home?

Hello Wednesday! Half way through the first week b Hello Wednesday! Half way through the first week back, we can do it. I need to pump myself up. 😂 All in all it’s not to bad of a work week.
🌿
Last week I worked on changing my console table around. I wanted to keep it light and simple and of course add my greenery.
🌿
I just love adding pops of greenery, real or faux everywhere. Plants truly make me happy. The faux fern you see here is from Target. It’s part of the Studio McGee collection. I can’t get over how real it looks.
🌿
For ferns, I always have to get faux. I don’t have very good luck with real ones. It’s just to dry here. I have to water them everyday and if you miss a day, they die. So faux it will be.
🌿
What’s your favorite plant?

Hello and happy Tuesday! Not too much going on ove Hello and happy Tuesday! Not too much going on over here. Just trying to get back into the swing of things. I was so tired after work yesterday.
🌸
I’m slowly decorating my home for this season, though winter is hard for me. After Christmas, I love pastels and flowers. I think the winter season is a little more difficult to decorate because we don’t get snow. It’s hard to have flocked trees and sunshine.
🌸
I’m sharing with you my centerpiece on my dining room table. I just love it so much! It’s kind of cozy and warm. Plus it has flowers! I’m still working on decorating the rest of the dining room. I hope to complete it by the weekend so I can share it with you.

Monday again? Ugh! Back to work today. I have enjo Monday again? Ugh! Back to work today. I have enjoyed my two weeks off and boy it is going to be hard getting back in the swing of things. At least I can roll out of my bed and go straight to my computer.
💕
Notice something different in my bedroom? I have a new sign above my bed. It took two years and a lot of begging to get my husband to hang something above my bed. It did cost me a trip to Olive Garden. lol
💕
My new farmhouse sign is from @krumpetshomedecor. I love just it, and thought it was perfect for the bedroom. I find the words so beautiful. Swipe to see a close up.
💕
The sign is slightly white wash and the word “love” is raised lettering. Plus the sign is two sided. I’ll show you the other side in stories today.
💕
Today Krumpets Home Decor is launching there new Valentines decor and let me tell you it is gorgeous!! I saw some fun pieces for a tiered tray and more signs. So much to choose from.

Happy Sunday! Not to much going on here. I finally Happy Sunday! Not to much going on here. I finally packed up my Christmas and slowly redecorating my house for winter/spring.
🌿
For some reason, when Christmas is over I feel the need to start to decorate for Spring. I just love the light, bright feeling.
🌿
My first post of the New Year has to be flowers. I’m sharing this pretty bouquet that I bought from Trader Joe’s.
🌿
Trader Joe’s has tulips already, which means peonies will be soon to follow. I can’t wait for flower season to come full bloom.

Happy New Years Eve! I can’t believe it’s the Happy New Years Eve! I can’t believe it’s the last day of the year and what a year it’s been. Though I’ve had some wonderful blessings this year.
🥂
I’m sharing with you my top 9 photos of 2020. Thank you so much for all your wonderful comments, likes and saves. I’ve had so much fun on IG this year. I’ve made so many new friends, I’ve been inspired by you and I feel like I have grown so much just by being here with you.
🥂
You don’t even know how much I appreciate each and everyone of you. You are truly inspiring. I am looking so forward to seeing what is in store in 2021.
🥂
If you followed my stories yesterday, I am doing a 30 day challenge starting on January 1st. The challenge is not being able to buy any home decor. So if you are joining me, shop today. It’s the last day to shop.
🥂
I plan on shopping my home, and being creative with what I have. When lockdown started, I saved so much money, not being able to leave my home. I was so proud of myself. Plus, I can save some money for spring and Easter decor.
🥂
Let me know if you are joining me? I need a support system. Target did me in this week, and I must stay away. Once I get the shopping bug, I can’t stop.
🥂
I’m taking the next couple of days off from IG to get my house organized. I will be on stories to show my progress. Happy New Years! Cheers to a wonderful 2021.
