Mini Chocolate Angel Foodcakes

March 29, 2013 By Jennifer @ PB and P Design 19 Comments

Hi everyone and Happy Good Friday!!

Today I am taking the day off, well kind of! Tomorrow is my virtual 5k run and I am going to stretch, do some yoga, eat healthy and get my mind-set in to the race.    I’m a little nervous, since this will be a long run for me.  But it’s a starting point and now that I am doing this, after the race I’m going to keep practicing.  I see people can do a run in under 15 minutes or less and I am amazed.  As of today I can run 3 miles in about 40 minutes.  That’s long, I know, but practice makes perfect!  So hopefully by the end of summer I can do it under 30 minutes!

Are you looking for a recipe?  Well I have one for you!!   You will find me over at one of my favorite blogs Noshing with the Nolands.   I am happy to be guest posting over there while Tara takes a well deserved Spring Break!!  Stop by, and say hi and be sure to look around Tara’s blog.  She has some wonderful recipes, gorgeous pictures and great reviews.   I simply love her blog!  I’m tell you she had the most scrumptious looking dishes that are sure to please every type of foodie!!

Oh, wonder what I made?  I made a healthy, light Mini Chocolate Angel Foodcakes.  They are so perfect for serving at Easter Brunch or just grab one and eat them up!  They are guilt free and so many ways to top them!!!  So be sure to get the recipe at Noshing with the Nolands.

Have a wonderful weekend and I’ll be back tomorrow with another Fun Saturday!!

Toodles,

Jennifer

Best of luck in your race tomorrow! I had been wanting to run a 5K so that I could do something different, and when I saw your post a few weeks ago when you mentioned this virtual one, I was intrigued! I never had heard of a “virtual” 5K , so I googled it! Who are you doing yours through? I came across Spark People. I am wondering if you have to train with thier plan or on your own? Would you mind telling me a bit more info about it? Thanks! And again, good luck!!!!! 🙂

Hi Amy, Here is the link with my workout plan. http://www.peanutbutterandpeppers.com/2013/03/10/full-post-today-and-recipe-recap/ It is a 3 week plan, to help prepare you for the big race. It’s really a cool idea!

But now you can join the Virtual 5k tomorrow if you would like. Here is the link for that information. http://www.mamavation.com/2013/03/mamavation5k-mar30.html

I get ya on the running! I’m not very fast and I get winded pretty quickly and my legs get tired fast! I figured as long as I can just do it, even speed walking, I’ll be proud of myself!

My stepdaughter and I explored the flower farm, enjoyed lunch, made dried-flower wreaths, and discovered this peaceful little hidden gem in Northern California. We even spotted deer and monarch butterflies! 🦌🦋

There is so much to see and do here, and I highly recommend adding Park Winters to your Northern California day-trip list! 💐

Look at this river of pink! Supertunia Vista Bubblegum by Proven Winners burst with flowers this week.
🌸
During July Garden tour, my petunias were looking sad, hardly any flowers. I said how disappointed I was. I followed all the Supertunia rules, spray with BT and fertilize. Then I made a little bit stronger concotion of BT Spray and a few days later, the plant rewarded me with beautiful pink blooms.

Have the best day!

Happy Monday! I’m sharing with you a rare view of Happy Monday! I’m sharing with you a rare view of my kitchen. What’s so rare about it! It’s clean. 🤣

So this weekend our refrigerator broke. The freezer no longer works and the fridge is not getting cool enough. Ugh!! We bought our Whirlpool refrigerator about 4 years ago and spent near $3000 for it. It sure didn’t last long.
.
After reading reviews on a million refrigerators, they all seem like crap. I need your help! Do you have a refrigerator that you recommend?
.
I saw a Frigidaire one that we are debating on, but not sure? The reviews are good, but says, they were collected from a promotion. So I’m not sure how much I trust that? Anyway, any recommendations that you have would be great!

Have a great day!

I am taking over mamas page because I was gifted the most amazing comforter from my friends @downlitebedding You know that pillows and comforters from DOWNLITE are my favorite thing in the world next to treatos and giving kisses!
🐾
This is the All Season EnviroLoft Down Alternative Hotel Duvet Insert with Duvet Tabs by DOWNLITE (Hypoallergenic). It is so soft to touch and perfect for me to stretch and lay on. Oh how I love my new bedding. Thinking of it makes me want to take a nap.

Mama said that she is a hot sleeper and this is her favorite comforter to sleep with because she doesn’t wake up sweating. Gross Mom! Try being covered in fur.
🐾
The comforter is 230 thread count, machine washable and even has duvet tabs which it perfect for using with your duvet covers. I love this comforter so much. Nothing like sleeping on fresh sheets and having the perfect comforter to wrap yourself in.

My brother Sully 🐶 who is a 2 year old Yellow Labrador has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in March and has gone through radiation treatment and is currently doing chemo. He’s been really ill and mamas main focus has been taking care of him. She hopes to be back soon.

I have been decorating the house for Easter and Spring. I love how this little space turned out. I am loving the bright pastels. I added my new bunny/chick pillow that I got from @12timbers. It matches so perfectly and it’s so cute. I also couldn’t resist the chick pillow from Target.
