Howdy,
How are you Guys? Well today was the first hot day, woohoo, and I was half tempted to put the AC on, but I didn’t. So with that, I thought I would make the most awesomeness dessert ever. Well not ever, but it’s pretty darn good. The only problem I have is I only got one salvageable picture. My battery pooped out when I took the first picture. So I started clicking, for hopes of a good picture. Nope it didn’t happen for me. I am so sad for that because I wanted so badly to show you my dessert. I’m half tempted to make it again so I can show you, but it really filled me up. I’m sitting here thinking about…. Still thinking….
Still thinking….
Ok, I thought long enough and I made another one.
Was that horrible to make another? Well, as long as I didn’t eat it, right? Well, I ate it! Who can have decadent chocolate, creamy peanut butter and sweet banana and not eat it? It’s chocolate and peanut butter for crying out loud. It’s like dangling a carrot in front of a rabbit and not letting him eat it, no matter how full he is. Hey at least it’s healthy! I could have eaten a bag of chips or something. You think differently of me don’t you?
This dessert really satisfied my sweet tooth and is a suburb replacement for ice cream. I think I actually like this better than ice cream. I love a good soft serve and the combination of banana and peanut butter is like magic. I of course topped it with a few mini peanut butter cups from Trader Joe’s. I love those little guys, aren’t they cute? I bet processing them in my soft serve would be a great idea, but I didn’t think of that till right now. Next time for sure!
This would make a wonderful pre-workout snack. It has 800 grams of potassium, 6 grams of fiber and 5 grams of protein and no sugar added and it was so sweet!!! The banana is a perfect fruit and makes a perfect anytime snack!
Did you know that eating two banana’s before a workout will give you enough energy to workout for one and a half hours? It also makes for a great afternoon snack when your feeling tired. So skip the caffeine and reach for a banana. A few other benefits of a banana are as follows; helps lower cholesterol, promotes good bone health do to the potassium, soothes protection against ulcers, it’s good for your heart and nervous system, mood enhancer and a mild sedative, has the highest natural source of vitamin B6 which helps protects the immune system and it comes prepackaged in its own skin and is inexpensive fruit. So grab a banana and enjoy it!!!
- 1½ Bananas,frozen, sliced thick
- 1 tbsp peanut butter
- 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- Place everything in a mini food processor or blender, and blend until smooth. You may have to scrape down the sides of the processor a couple of times.
Want to know a lazy secret? I freeze my banana’s with the skin on. It keeps their shape, protects against frost and when you peel the banana the color is a nice yellow-white and there not mushy! I just take my paring knife and peel the banana. It peels very easily, but the only thing is, your hands will get cold. So when you have some bananas on the counter and there starting to get to ripe and you don’t have time to use them, just toss in the freezer as is. I didn’t think it would work, but it’s perfect. It makes life easier and I didn’t have to waste a freezer bag. Frozen bananas are the best. They also defrost easily and you can use them in your baking. As I am writing this, I better stock up and get some more banana’s and soon! With a dessert like I had tonight, ok two desserts, I will be wanting this in the very near future again. I’m thinking tomorrow! he he
Enjoy my Choco Peanut Butter Banana Soft Serve, but just stick to one, not two, but that maybe hard!
Well, it’s past my bed time! Have a wonderful Friday!! I’m off today, it’s a pamper Jennifer Day!!!!
Good night!

If I had extra bananas around, I would have made and eaten two whether my pictures had turned out or not! So at least you had an excuse. Sounds majorly delicious! This is the kind of dessert I need in my life!

Oh my gosh, Yum! I know I couldn’t resist the pull of chocolate and peanut butter. I would have eaten the second serving as well. I didn’t know that about bananas. I’m going to start eating a banana before I go biking. Thanks for that info.

Banana based ‘icecreams’ are my favorite. I usually add in spinach too–you can’t taste it, but it adds a little nutritional punch 🙂

I love how you were tempted to put the AC on today. It was pushing almost 100 here in LA today. It was bad.
And this ice cream, oh my word. I’m so glad you don’t need an ice cream machine for this!
