Buffalo Chicken Potstickers #SundaySupper

February 2, 2014 By Jennifer @ PB and P Design 91 Comments

Hi Everyone,

Today for #SundaySupper we had to make something that we would enjoy for the big football game.  Well for me, my favorite, favorite thing to have on Super Bowl Sunday is Buffalo Chicken anything!  Back in the day when I lived in Buffalo, it would have been chicken wings and last year it was Buffalo Chicken Wing Dip, but this year it’s Buffalo Chicken Potstickers.  Oh ya!  I think every year I get better and better when it comes to Buffalo Chicken!
Buffalo Chicken Potstickers #SundaySupper
These Buffalo Chicken Potstickers are super easy to make, they are tender, yet crispy on the bottom and to boot has the most wonderful chicken winger flavor on the inside. It’s really like eating a chicken wing without being fried or making a mess from eating it on the bone. It’s a fabulous little appetizer! We love them here and I plan on making them all of the time.
Buffalo Chicken Potstickers
I made these earlier this week to test them out and let me tell you this was my Husbands and my dinner on Monday. I served mine with a side of hummus and celery and a tiny side salad. Oh so perfect! My Husband gave them two thumbs up and he ate 3/4’s of the recipe. He was supposed to have left over turkey, but when he smelled that hot chicken baking he said I’ll eat that! Hey, who can blame him? I like turkey, but this is way better and more fun to eat!

A tender Won Ton filled with chicken, cream cheese and Franks Hot Sauce that is tender with a crispy bottom.
Serves: 21
Ingredients
  • 4 oz chicken, cooked, shredded small
  • 1 oz cream cheese, reduced fat
  • ¼ cup Franks Hot Sauce
  • 20 small square Won Ton Wrappers
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • ¼ cup water
Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl add chicken, cream cheese and hot sauce. Mix together until well blended.
  2. In a tiny bowl, add some water. This is for sealing the edges of your Won Tons.
  3. Place 1 tsp. of mixture in WonTon wrapper, take your finger and dip in water and place along the edges of the wrapper (this will be the glue to seal the wrappers together. Fold each Won Ton corner to corner, and then fold outside edges to corner. Do the same for the remaining wrappers.
  4. Spray a large skillet with cooking spray and add the olive oil. Place skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the potstickers to the pan. Make sure they are not touching or crowded together. Let the potstickers cook, for 2 minutes, or until bottom is golden in color. Add ¼ cup of the water and cover. Reduce the heat to low, and allow the dumplings to finish cooking by steaming, another 2 to 3 minutes. Once done, gently remove the potstcikerss from the pan. This may have to be done in batches, but no need to add additional oil, just add more water when ready to steam.

It’s time for my annual pumpkin bath picture. I It’s time for my annual pumpkin bath picture. I don’t know what it is, but I love to give pumpkins a bath. Don’t they look cute bathing in the sunlight with bubbles around them? lol
🎃
There are two methods that I have used in the past; the chlorine bath and the dish soap bath. This is what I have learned.
🎃
My favorite and only way I wash pumpkins now is using dish soap. It gets rid of the sap and makes them clean. I soak my pumpkins for about 20 minutes. The pumpkins will last until December. Plus if you keep your pumpkins after the holidays it will decay and grow pumpkins the following year. Plus it’s safe for animals that may nibble on your pumpkin.
🎃
The chlorine bath method will make your pumpkins last possibly up to a year. They take very long to break down and I never got my pumpkins to seed themselves. Plus it is not safe for animals in my opinion. Though Clorox Bleach says it’s safe, they just taste salty.
🎃
The key to washing pumpkins is to make sure that you get the area around the stem dry. You don’t want water around the stem. This could make your pumpkin rot sooner. So after the bath, dry your pumpkins off very good.
🎃
Did you get your pumpkins yet?
.
PS if you are in the Bay Area, I highly recommend going to @threenunnsfarm to get your pumpkins. They have a wide variety and the pumpkins and are .75 a pound. I bought all these pumpkins for $42.

Hello Tuesday! Hope you are doing well. It’s sta Hello Tuesday! Hope you are doing well. It’s starting to feel like Fall here in Northern California. The mornings and evenings are feeling crisp. I can’t get over that we are in the middle of September. Where did the Summer go?
🎃
I’m sharing with you the corner of my living room where I store my pumpkins that I grew before I can take them outside. It’s been too warm for them and I want them to last through October. They have been doing well, as they have been here since the middle of August.

I’m excited because this Saturday our local pumpkin patch will be opening. They have a huge variety of pumpkins and very inexpensive too. I’ll be stocking up. I just love this time of year.

🐾
Downlite Bedding sent me the EnviroLoft® Down Alternative PrimaCool™ Cooling Comforter. Isn’t it beautiful? It’s so soft, cozy, hypoallergenic and it makes me so happy.
🐾
The comforter is 400 thread count, it has moisture wicking and cooling technology to help regulate body temperature, which is perfect since I get warm in the summer with all my hair and I like to be cool when I’m sleeping. A big plus is the comforter is white, I hide very well in it. It’s hard to see me. So mama can’t catch me on her bed.
🐾
The EnviroLoft® Down Alternative PrimaCool™ Cooling Comforter also has a Scotchguard stain release fabric and machine wash and dry. It’s truly an amazing comforter.
🐾
Mama let me do this takeover today because she knows that I love @downlitebedding as much as she does. She said she has never seen me get so excited as I do when we get Downlite Bedding and pillows in the mail. How can I not get excited? It’s like sleeping on a cloud!

Downlite Bedding was kind enough to give us a 20% discount: DYGEN20

Happy Thursday! Here is a view of my garden that I Happy Thursday! Here is a view of my garden that I took a couple weeks ago. My garden really overgrew this season. I need to do some major work in it, but with the heat, it’s just unbearable to be out there too long.
🌼
I had a lot of zinnias self-seed this season which is cool, but they kind of took over. They crowded out some plants, so I need to get in there and pull some out. Plus being so crowded, they got powdery mildew. Yuck!
🌼
I’m thinking for the Fall making this area a little harvest pumpkin area. We will see. I have grand ideas in my head, but I don’t always follow through. lol
🌼
How your garden growing? I lost all my potted plants from the heat. 😩

Hello Monday! This weekend I made a little charcut Hello Monday! This weekend I made a little charcuterie setup for my husband and I. This is something that I just love to do. I could just eat this type of meal all day long.

I am sharing the “All White Collection” from @bzaar_wholesale. Each piece to the collection is so elegant and can be used all year round and would be gorgeous around the holidays.

The tray is made of marble with beautiful gold handles. The cheese knives are gold with solid marble handles and compliments the tray perfectly.

I used the marble flower shaped bowl for putting chocolates, but would be so stunning to use on your coffee table, side table and more.

The cake stand is has a marble base with Mother of Pearl edging and has a glass lid to go over the top. I will be putting my cakes and cookies on it in the future, but for now I used it to place my bruschetta.

Hello, hello! It may be 100 degrees outside, but I Hello, hello! It may be 100 degrees outside, but I can’t resist putting out some Fall. Especially when you get new decor from @12timbers. You would laugh if you came into my living-room. Half my room is Fall, the other half is still coastal blues. lol I’ll eventually change it all out.
🍂
Let’s talk the art work. Isn’t it stunning? My husband never says anything about my decor, but he keeps talking about how much he likes the framed art from 12 Timbers. I agree, it’s so beautiful. It reminds me of when I lived back east and we would go to Letchworth Park in NY. The colors are stunning and goes perfectly with the burnt orange color that I’m using this season.
🍂
I just adore the wooden cut out pumpkins from @12Timbers. When I look at them they make me smile. The orange wooden leaf is the perfect piece to bring everything together. This gets me so excited for Fall decorating. Now to finish the rest of the living room.
🍂
12 Timbers is so kind to give me a discount code. It’s good until Saturday at midnight. The code is PBANDP15.
🍂
Have the most beautiful day!

Look at this friends! It’s my first Fall vignett Look at this friends! It’s my first Fall vignette. Notice anything that seems a tad early? It’s my first pumpkin from my garden. Can you believe it? They started to grow early this season so it’s time to start picking. Unfortunately the massive one I showed you a couple weeks ago didn’t make it. It collapsed in the middle. That makes me sad, but at least I have more pumpkins growing.
🎃
I really had fun bringing out some Fall decor. Fall is not my favorite season, as I love Spring and Summer, but Fall is my favorite to decorate for.
🎃
I wanted to share with you my new reversible blocks from @krumpetshomedecor. Aren’t they cute. They would look so pretty on a shelf. The one side says Fall and the other side says Boo! The two wooden pumpkins are also from Krumpets Home Decor.
🎃
The Fall blocks are the Krumpets Home Decor deal of the week. Plus you get an additional 10% off with code: PBANDP. Link in my bio.

Hello Tuesday! One of my favorite summer drinks is Hello Tuesday! One of my favorite summer drinks is a nice cold glass of lemonade. I like it a tad sour over sweet. It gives you the zippys in your mouth. I do love a good homemade lemonade, but once in awhile I like to cheat and just get my favorite store brand and add some freshly cut lemons and a few sprigs of mint. It then looks homemade when it’s not.
🍋
This is my outdoor dining area. I put the tablecloth over the table and have kept it like that all summer. I love my table, but being black, it’s extremely hot when you touch it. Plus it has water spots from last year which is annoying. Not sure how to get rid of them?
🍋
What is your favorite summer drink? Have a wonderful day!
