Weekly Recap

September 2, 2012 By Jennifer @ PB and P Design 10 Comments

Hi Everyone and Happy Sunday!!!

I’m writing this post early on Saturday because I plan on doing some baking today!!  It’s a little chilly out and feels like fall and that makes me want to cook up some wonderful seasonal meals.

Here’s this weeks weekly recap

Monday – Banana and Peanut Butter Frozen Yogurt – I love this recipe, but I am sure that is no surprise to you.  I LOVE my frozen yogurts and well I do have a horrible love for Peanut Butter!!  This is so easy and way healthier then store-bought frozen yogurt!!

Tuesday – Pumpkin Pancakes – I love this recipe too!!! It’s so light, rich and super delicious.  If you’re a pumpkin fan, than these are the pancakes for you!  Low calorie, healthy and super yummy!!

Wednesday – Chocolate Chip Medley Yogurt Cookies – These cookies are sweet and chocolaty and a little bit more healthier then the average chocolate chip cookie.  They were a hit at my Husbands work even tough he saw my post and wasn’t to thrilled to find out it was made with Stevia and Yogurt.  Why does the man not like yogurt?

Thursday – Pizza Burger – I love changing up my burgers and I really love these ones.  There fun and my family really liked them!!  Nothing beats tomato sauce, and cheese!!  Yummy!!  Oh if you make them, the basil really adds a great touch to the hamburger.

Friday –  Pear and Cherry Stuffed Pork Loin – This is a wonderful dish, I only wish the pictures turned out a little nicer.  The combination of cherries and pears is simply amazing.  This dish is sweet and savory.

Saturday – Peanut Butter Chip Yogurt Cookies – The idea for these cookies came from a fellow blogger who asked what would the cookie be like if I added just yogurt or apple sauce in it instead of butter.  I tried it out and I like it.  These cookies are light, fluffy and only 42 calories a cookie.  Yum!!  I recommend refrigerating them if you make them.

I also received the Sunshine Award from Laura from Gluten Free Pantry.  Thank you so much Laura!  I am honored that you picked my blog and I just love your blog!!!

“The Sunshine Award is an award given by bloggers to other bloggers. The recipients of the Sunshine Award are: Bloggers who positively and creatively inspire others in the blogosphere.” The way the award works is this: Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to them. Answer 10 questions about yourself. Select 10 of your favorite bloggers, link their blogs to your post and let them know they have been awarded the Sunshine Award! Don’t forget to copy and paste the award on your blog!

Here are the questions attached to the Sunshine Award and my answers:

1. Favorite Color:  Pink!  I just love girly colors, but I tend to mostly wear black!

2. Favorite Animal: Dogs!  No matter how bad they can be there so loyal and adorable.  There my best Friends, especially when working in the kitchen.

3. Favorite Number: 12, I don’t know why?

4. Favorite Drink: My Skinny Vanilla Frappe – I love it and can’t get enough of it!!

5. Facebook or Twitter:  Facebook!  Though I am getting more into Twitter.

6. Good Movie or Good Book: I don’t know.  I’m not much of a movie or book buff, so this one is to hard for me to decide.

7. My passion:  My passion is to strive to be the best that I can.  I think my true passion is cooking.  I love being creative in the kitchen and I get so excited to share new recipes with you, my friends and family.

8. Giving or Getting presents:  Who doesn’t love getting gifts?  But I do love to give them especially when it is thoughtful and a person is surprised to get it.  Also giving someone happy tears is a wonderful feeling.

9. Favorite Day of the Year:  I don’t have one.  I try to make everyday a good one, but my favorite day of the week is Saturday.  It’s either a day full of fun or baking!!

10. Favorite Flower: Gerbera flower!  There so perky and so many pretty colors.

Here are my nominees for the Sunshine Award:  This was so hard for me to choose since there are so many wonderful blogs out there!!

1.  The Spiffy Cookie –  I love Erins recipes and I love her love for Peanut Butter!

2.  Dinner, Dishes and Desserts – This girl makes the best recipes and I’m always drooling looking at the pictures!

5.  Lauren Kelly Nutritionist – I love Lauren’s blog!  She showed me about the detox program and helped me on my eating habits, just by reading her blog.  Every morning I wake up to a cup of hot water and lemon!  🙂

Happy Monday! I’m sharing with you a rare view of Happy Monday! I’m sharing with you a rare view of my kitchen. What’s so rare about it! It’s clean. 🤣
.
So this weekend our refrigerator broke. The freezer no longer works and the fridge is not getting cool enough. Ugh!! We bought our Whirlpool refrigerator about 4 years ago and spent near $3000 for it. It sure didn’t last long.
.
After reading reviews on a million refrigerators, they all seem like crap. I need your help! Do you have a refrigerator that you recommend?
.
I saw a Frigidaire one that we are debating on, but not sure? The reviews are good, but says, they were collected from a promotion. So I’m not sure how much I trust that? Anyway, any recommendations that you have would be great!
.
Have a great day!

Hi everyone! This is Samuel! I am taking over mama Hi everyone! This is Samuel! The comforter is 230 thread count, machine washable and even has duvet tabs which it perfect for using with your duvet covers. I love this comforter so much. Nothing like sleeping on fresh sheets and having the perfect comforter to wrap yourself in.

My brother Sully 🐶 who is a 2 year old Yellow Labrador has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in March and has gone through radiation treatment and is currently doing chemo. He’s been really ill and mamas main focus has been taking care of him. She hopes to be back soon.

Happy Tuesday! I know it’s been awhile since I hav Happy Tuesday! I know it’s been awhile since I have shared anything with you. I have been busy cleaning up the yard, and my day job has been so busy. Hope you are doing well.
🐰
I have been decorating the house for Easter and Spring. I love how this little space turned out. I am loving the bright pastels. I added my new bunny/chick pillow that I got from @12timbers. It matches so perfectly and it’s so cute. I also couldn’t resist the chick pillow from Target.

Hi Everyone! I hope you had a great weekend. I mus Hi Everyone! I hope you had a great weekend. I must say I was disappointed in the Super Bowl. I really wanted the 49ers to win. Anyway, this weekend I refreshed my guest bathroom.
🐰
I have to say my new favorite item is the towel holder. It’s so cute and practical. I don’t have a hand towel rack and I hated leaving my towels on my counter. I saw the towel holder from Target and had to get it. It’s the Hearth and Hand brand.
🐰
I added some bunnies for Spring and a touch of pink for some color. The hand towels are from Homegoods. They have so many bunnies and Easter decor. I had to control myself because I was with my husband. I may go back.
🐰
Have a great day!!

Happy Monday!! I have to confess to you. I still h Happy Monday!! I have to confess to you. I still have Christmas in my kitchen.😳 I don’t know where to put it, so I haven’t taken it down. It’s not a lot, but just enough to where I can’t fit it. Ugh! Please tell me I’m not the only one.
💕
I did do one little spot for Valentines, which I think is so cute. I love decorating with Valentines candy. I can’t resist the pinks and the conversation hearts. I do not plan on going all out decorating this season, as time is going so fast, but I may add some hearts here and there.
💕
Do you decorate for Valentine’s Day?

Hi Everyone! With spring around the corner, now is Hi Everyone! With spring around the corner, now is the time to get your chores done, so when the warmer weather arrives you can enjoy it. My goal is to refresh my bedroom. I am slowly getting rid of stuff that I no longer need and slowly adding new decor. So hopefully in a few weeks it will be done. #twopageshome
♥️
The first thing I added are these stunning customized curtains that I was gifted from @twopagescurtains. Guys, I’m in love! The curtains are just so pretty! I am loving the way it shades the sun, but still lets the light in. Exactly the look I was going for.
♥️
The curtains I chose are the “Liz Linen Drape Soft”. They are a linen curtain that is environmentally friendly, hypoallergenic, long lasting, dust preventative, and breathable. They are also wrinkle free. I didn’t have to steam them. They came right out of the package ready to hang. They also come in 38 colors and 7 shadings to choose from. There is an option for everyone.
♥️
I’ll be honest I was intimidated on ordering custom curtains. I was so afraid I would order them wrong, but I didn’t. Two Pages has a measurement finder that asks you a few easy questions and boom you have your custom curtain size. It was so simple.
♥️
If you are looking for some new curtains or shades for your home, I highly recommend Two Page Curtains. I absolutely love them. They were kind enough to give my followers an 8% discount code: PBANDP. Link in bio
♥️
Are you planning on refreshing any spaces?

Happy Friday! Hope you had a wonderful holiday sea Happy Friday! Hope you had a wonderful holiday season. I am slowly working on taking my Christmas decor down. I still have my tree up, but I love the twinkling lights, and the real reason is I need my husband to get the box out of the garage. lol
💙
I am going with blues in the living room. I just find blue calming and peaceful. The first area I styled is the coffee table. Sorry about the views. I have a small, thin living room.
💙
I decided to go light on the decor and add some fresh faux greenery. I hate leaving the remote controls out, so I decided to store them in a decorative box. Everything here, but the white box was bought at Target.
💙
Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Everyone! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas. I Hi Everyone! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas. It was low key for us, as it was just my husband and I. We had dinner at my daughters house on Christmas Eve. That was nice.
🎄
I am sharing my last view of my living room before I take down my Christmas decor. I will leave some of the winter type greens, but I think I’m going to add some blues. I have always liked blue after the holidays. It just gives the room a light and clean look.
🎄
I want to say sorry for lack of posting. It’s just so time consuming engaging. I hate spending countless hours on my phone. It has made me physically lazy and it hurts my eyes. I have put on so much weight because all I do is sit. I really need to change this habit. Anyway! I hope you have a wonderful day!!!
