FF Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Yogurt / Giveaway

August 3, 2013 By Jennifer @ PB and P Design 101 Comments

Hi Everyone,

Happy Saturday to you!  Since it’s Saturday and Saturdays should be fun days!  You know the days where you go out and do something that you wouldn’t do during the week, like have a picnic, get pedicures, go for hikes, go shopping,  maybe go to the city.  Well today I have a fun Saturday planned for you.  But first let me give you my super quick, not great pictures, super easy recipe of all times.  This is my Fat Free Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Yogurt.

Fat Free Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Yogurt

When I come home from work, I always like to have a snack, which normally involves yogurt.  I love yogurt, it’s healthy, full of protein and it tastes like dessert.  I usually have a dollop of peanut butter and mixed fruit in it, but today I was craving chocolate.  I am not the biggest chocolate craver, normally I like spicy and salty foods, but there are some days that I just need chocolate!  You know what I am talking about!  So I whipped together the most simple little yogurt parfait ever!  It’s made with a frozen banana, plain greek yogurt, cocoa powder and peanut butter extract.  Yup Peanut Butter extract!  I normally like to drizzle peanut butter in my yogurt, but I was out!!  I know, me out of peanut butter, that is like committing a sin or something.  So I decided to try out some Watkins Peanut Butter extract.

Watkins Peanut Butter Extract

The extract worked like a charm!  I had my chocolate and peanut butter taste without the fat!  I LOVE it!!  It’s a perfect substitute for my peanut butter!  Grant it, I love peanut butter way more, but this worked perfectly and best of all no extra calories and no fat!!!  This little yogurt cup would normally would be near 300 calories, but this recipe is only 162 calories!  Woohoo!!!

I LOVE my extracts!  I have a bazillion of them.  They really add some nice extra flavor without adding additional calories.  Especially when you use an extract like peanut butter or butter!  Those calories could really add up.  But please note, peanut butter is healthy for you and I eat it everyday, even if it is to just dip my apples in!!  Butter on the other hand, that’s just fat!!  I rarely use butter unless it’s in baking or I really need it in a recipe.  A stick of butter can last months in my house!

Happy Wednesday! Pucker Up! Love is in the air! I Happy Wednesday! Pucker Up! Love is in the air! I am sharing with you part of my dining room that is all decked out for Valentines Day.
💋
I worked on my little corner by updating my bar cart, which is so dangerous because I added candy that I can’t stop eating. I also added my new Kissing Booth sign from @krumpetshomedecor.
💋
The Kissing Booth sign is reversible and the other side says kissing booth, kiss me I’m Irish with green writing and green lips. I’ll share the other side in stories. It’s so cute!
💋
The Kissing Booth sign is the Krumpets Home Decor deal of the week. Plus you get 10% off with code: PBANDP. The link is in my bio. Also Krumpets Home Decor ships to Canada.
💋
What is your favorite Valentines candy?

Happy Tuesday! One thing you guys know about me is Happy Tuesday! One thing you guys know about me is that I love Target. It’s my happy place. I get so excited each season to see all the new things that come out.
🌿
One thing I always love is there faux vase/pot flowers and plants. They are always so pretty and I want to buy them all. But there a couple of things that stops me. The biggest one is that I have no storage for them. Two, they seemed to have gone up in price. They seemed a little pricy to me.
🌿
For my arrangement, I used one of my canisters for the bathroom. I used floral foam to stick the stems in and I used the paper towel as a filler because I only had very little bit of moss. If I had more moss and I would probably not use the paper towel. This arrangement cost me $5.99.
🌿
Tip: If you look at Targets faux foliage stems only, they have a lot that are same of what use in there vases. The one I used was Hearth and Hand and was only $5.99 for a stem. The exact ones they used in there pots.
🌿
Hope you enjoy this as much as I have making it.
Enjoy your day!

Happy Thursday! As you may know I did my deep clea Happy Thursday! As you may know I did my deep cleaning in my kitchen on Monday. I washed the floors, cabinets, counters and decluttered the countertops. It feels so good and everything is so bright and clean. Well….
💖
My husband decided to take vacation days this week, and my kitchen does not look so pretty. He has his 💩 everywhere. So annoying.
💖
Here’s a little bit of the styling that I did. I will work on the coffee bar this weekend, though I’m running a blank on how to style it. I need some inspiration.
💖
What do you do to get inspiration?

I’m sharing heart shaped cinnamon rolls that I made this weekend. I got the idea to make them from my friend Heidi @eleanorrosehome. She made the most delicious looking cinnamon rolls, that I couldn’t resist to make. So perfect for Valentines Day and sooooo easy!
❤️
I took a can of Trader Joe’s cinnamon rolls and unraveled them, if that makes sense, and rolled them up like a palmier cookie. So fun! You could add food coloring to the frosting to make it pink and add sprinkles. Super cute! You can follow step by step recipe on Heidi’s Instagram page!
❤️
Thank you Heidi for sharing the recipe. This was so fun!

🌿
I’m sharing with you my corner of my living room. I love how open this space looks. I added greenery to give it a fresh look. I also stuck with mostly natural colors with an exception of some blues to bring my whole living room together.
🌿
Tomorrow I am going to start to share Valentines Day. My dining room is filling up with hearts. It’s so fun. I can’t wait to start sharing. Hope you have a beautiful day!
