Happy Thursday! I have to tell you, I have not been to Trader Joe’s in a couple of weeks and the last time I was there, I didn’t buy any flowers. That so does not sound like me.

So it’s been about 3-4 weeks since I’ve had fresh flowers in the house. I needed flowers, so I headed to my gardens and made this little bouquet.

I will tell you, I have a hard cutting my flowers. For some odd reason I feel bad. But I will tell you looking at this little arrangement makes me smile.

Howdy everyone! If you caught my stories yesterday, I had two new visitors to my yard. I had a baby Morning Dove and a Woodpecker. The Woodpecker was hanging out in the birdhouse above Woodys. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t Woody because his red hair on his head wasn’t as full. Yes, I notice those weird things. I’ll be watching closely to see if he comes back.

Hello! The weekend really flew by and It was a busy one. We visited some friends up in the mountains on Saturday and then on Sunday we made canned dill pickles. That is what my husband wanted for Fathers Day.

If you followed my stories yesterday, you will know that the cucumbers in this photo are not grown from my garden. We searched high and low for pickling cucumbers and we finally found some Saturday. The garlic is also not from my garden, but I’m proud to say the dill and the tomatoes are from my garden.

When we were in the process of making the pickles, we didn’t have enough to fill the jars. We have a friend that told us about a vegetable stand near us that had them. My husband said let’s go! We bought 30 more cucumbers. We ended up make 11 jars of pickles. Now don’t ask where I’m going to store them? I have no idea.

The process was fun and I would love to can tomatoes, but I’m not sure where I could get a bunch for a decent price. I don’t know about you, but the prices at the Farmers Market are not cheap.

Howdy! Happy Thursday! Woohwee, it’s a hot one here! You know how I complain about the wind? Well we have had no wind and it’s a stagnant 95 degrees yesterday and 107 today. Now I want the wind. It’s so hot out. Oh my gosh, I’m melting, along with my plants.

But on the bright side I got this gorgeous new reversible pillow from @krumpetshomedecor. I love the print on it and I love the saying Home Sweet Home. I’m such a homebody that this pillow says it all to me.

Hello! Half way through the week. It’s going to be a hot one, we’ll for the next 5 days. We were in the mid 60’s and 70’s last week and now we are going to be in the low 100’s. Ugh! It goes from one extreme to the next.

I decided to update my little bench corner by adding a pop of color for Summer. I kept this space minimal because Sampson lays there and the AC vent is under the bench.

Last week Sampson pushed his feet against the step stool and the blanket ladder starting to fall. I became Wonder Woman and rushed out of my seat and caught the ladder before it fell on my sweet Sammy. He’s like what Mom? Your disturbing my sleep. lol

Happy Tuesday! I want to give you a big thank you! I reached 40k followers yesterday. That was a great start to the week. I haven’t moved my numbers since about November so I was so happy and surprised. So thank you so much! I wouldn’t be here without you. Now who says you have to have dinner at the dining room or kitchen table? We always eat dinner at our kitchen bar. I think we’ve used our dining room table once in a year. It’s just easier, and more convenient for us. Plus I don’t want my husband to mess up my tablescapes. lol

I was inspired by my friend Susie @fromsusie to setup a little romantic table setting at my kitchen bar. My husband saw my table setting and said are you making a fancy dinner? I said no, we’re having hot dogs for dinner. That’s how we roll around here.

The tray, bowl with grapes in it, flowers, napkins, napkin rings and riser are all @fromsusie. I got most of these pieces in her Summer Decor Box. I have so much fun styling with her Decor Boxes. I’m already excited for the Fall box.

Oh and let me tell you Rosemary Crackers with Trader Joe’s Unexpected Cheddar and grapes tastes so good together. You should pick them up on your next Trader Joe’s run. I think I’ve eaten this 3 times since Friday. I’m addicted.

Hello Friday! You guys are so good! I don’t know what I was thinking yesterday, calling a Thursday, Tuesday. Well I am just glad it’s Friday!

I found out here on IG that it’s National Gardening Week. I thought it would be fun to show you the transformation of my backyard going from pool to garden.

We had an above ground 30’x 16’ Doughboy pool partially in the ground and in October 2019, we decided to take out the pool. We never used it, and it was just too much maintenance. So my husband took it out himself and then I started my dream garden.
🌸
This yard has had a lot of transformation in a year and a half. Swipe the photos to see the changes. I was sad to see the pool go, but now I have my flowers and birds. It was so worth it for me.

It’s still a work in progress but my husband has done so much work, from removing a pool to building 3 garden beds and installing all those pavers. A piece of advice, if using pavers in the yard, try to complete the project at one time or in one season. In a year in a half we had to use 3 different pavers because they kept discontinuing the ones we used.

Happy Tuesday! My gosh guys, the wind has been so insane here. Yesterday, the house shook that I thought we had an earthquake. Even the dogs woke up from there nap. This is just craziness. Anyway, enough about my complaining about the weather.

I thought it would be fun to put together a tiered tray. I haven’t done one in awhile. I bet your surprised that I stuck with my green and white gardening theme. lol I know your not.
🌿
The little signs on the tray are from my girl Brantley from @thesassyoak. I just love them. I thought they would be perfect for my tray.
🌿
The little plant at the bottom is a Baby Tears that I got in the small teacup from Trader Joe’s. That plant is in a 1” pot. I can’t believe it just keeps growing. I’ll replant it this weekend. Poor thing. I’m neglecting it.

The two ferns are from Target and the pots are all from Terrain. Such a fun and easy tray to put together. I’m just debating where I want to put my tray. I’m thinking on my console table.

My work station for my vignettes is my kitchen counter, then I shift my vignettes to another room. The kitchen has the best lighting.
