Happy Wednesday! I don’t know about you, but we never eat our meals at the dining room table. We always eat at the kitchen counter. It’s convenient, easy to clean and it’s close to the food. Plus as a bonus, we get a nice view of the backyard.

Just because you eat at the counter doesn’t mean you can’t create a pretty place setting. I like creating a place setting for my husband and I. It makes for a lovely meal and feels a little fancier.

Happy Tuesday! I was outside early evening yesterday taking pictures of flowers and I felt a shadow flying around me. I looked up and there a Monarch butterfly.

I don’t see Monarchs very much, I was delighted when I saw this orange beauty flying around. It landed on a Zinnia before it took a rest on my Butterfly Bush. Isn’t it beautiful? It made my day. It’s the small things.

I highly recommend a Butterfly Bush in your garden. The flowers come in a range of colors from white, pink to purples. They do well in zones 5-9. The flowers smell amazing and bloom all season. They are also a great butterfly attractor and fairly easy to grow.

I am loving how simple, fresh and light my tablescape feels. It’s the perfect look I was going for. Happy Thursday! This week is just flying by, which is okay by me. Yesterday I worked on my bedroom and it feels so good having a clean bedroom. It was a chore that I needed to get done.

Hello! I have to tell you that I love summer. It’s my favorite season. I love the sun, hot weather, shirts and flip flops. I could just spend all day outside.

One of my favorite things to do in the summer besides gardening is going to the Farmers Market. There is something about the atmosphere with people walking around with bags in hand, the smell of kettle corn and everyone is so happy.

Besides the atmosphere, you can’t beat the freshly grown produce. It’s mind blowing how different it tastes, then what you get in the store. You almost forget what a strawberry is suppose to taste like until have it at the Farmers Market. Plus you are supporting your community. It’s a good feeling all around.

I highly recommend going to the Farmers Market and pick up so corn. Soooooo good!! Stock up on your fruits and veggies and freeze it for winter.
