An easy to make smoky barbecue sauce that has a slight kick from the Chipotle.
Serves: 1¾ Cups
Ingredients
2 cups ketchup (I used Trader Joe's Organic Ketchup)
5 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. low sodium soy sauce
2 tsp. dijon mustard
2 tbsp. packed brown sugar
½ tsp. chipotle seasoning
½ tsp. onion powder
2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
4 tsp.liquid smoke, I used a hickory flavored
Instructions
In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low. Simmer 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened. Makes 1¾ cups. Can store in refrigerator up to 1 month.
