Cranberry Apple Sauce

A sweet and slightly tart sauce made with fresh cranberries, apples and soaked in apple cider and sweetened with maple syrup.
Serves: 3 Cups (6 servings)
  • 12 oz bag (3 cups) fresh or frozen cranberries, thawed
  • 1½ cups apple, peeled, seeded, diced
  • Juice and zest of 1 orange
  • ⅔ cup apple cider or apple juice
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  1. In a sauce pan add all of the ingredients and cook over medium heat, stir occasionally. Bring to a boil, and simmer for about 15 minutes until cranberries pop and sauce has thicken.
  2. Serve warm or chilled.
  3. To make sweeter add more maple syrup or brown sugar
