A healthy, light pita sandwich filled with cream cheese, vegetables and topped with feta cheese and balsamic dressing.
Serves: 1 pita sandwich
Ingredients
½ whole wheat pita
1 tbsp. cream cheese, fat free
¼ cup romaine lettuce, sliced thin
2 tbsp. alfalfa sprouts
4 slices of cucumber
2 tsp. onion, diced small
¼ cup tomatoes, diced
1 tbsp. banana peppers, diced
2 kalamata olives, sliced
1 tsp. feta cheese, fat free
½ tbsp balsamic dressing (your favorite)
Instructions
Spread cream cheese inside of pita. Fill the pita with lettuce, sprouts, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, banana peppers, olives and top with cheese and a drizzle of balsamic dressing.
