Greek Vegetarian Pita

A healthy, light pita sandwich filled with cream cheese, vegetables and topped with feta cheese and balsamic dressing.
Serves: 1 pita sandwich
Ingredients
  • ½ whole wheat pita
  • 1 tbsp. cream cheese, fat free
  • ¼ cup romaine lettuce, sliced thin
  • 2 tbsp. alfalfa sprouts
  • 4 slices of cucumber
  • 2 tsp. onion, diced small
  • ¼ cup tomatoes, diced
  • 1 tbsp. banana peppers, diced
  • 2 kalamata olives, sliced
  • 1 tsp. feta cheese, fat free
  • ½ tbsp balsamic dressing (your favorite)
Instructions
  1. Spread cream cheese inside of pita. Fill the pita with lettuce, sprouts, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, banana peppers, olives and top with cheese and a drizzle of balsamic dressing.
