Hi Everyone! Summer sure came. It was 106 yesterday and today cooler at 103. Holy Moly! I think I could fry an egg outside.

Happy Thursday! This week is just flying by, which is okay by me. Yesterday I worked on my bedroom and it feels so good having a clean bedroom. It was a chore that I needed to get done.

Hello! I have to tell you that I love summer. It’s my favorite season. I love the sun, hot weather, shirts and flip flops. I could just spend all day outside.

One of my favorite things to do in the summer besides gardening is going to the Farmers Market. There is something about the atmosphere with people walking around with bags in hand, the smell of kettle corn and everyone is so happy.

Besides the atmosphere, you can’t beat the freshly grown produce. It’s mind blowing how different it tastes, then what you get in the store. You almost forget what a strawberry is suppose to taste like until have it at the Farmers Market. Plus you are supporting your community. It’s a good feeling all around.

I highly recommend going to the Farmers Market and pick up so corn. Soooooo good!! Stock up on your fruits and veggies and freeze it for winter.

Happy Monday!! It’s back to work for me. I’ll be counting down to my next vacation, which will be the week of the 4th of July. I will tell you, it felt so nice not having any plans and doing work in the garden.

This weekend I finally made it to the Farmers Market and I picked up these amazing sunflowers. They are such a happy flower.

When I got them, I couldn’t resist doing a flowers in the sink photo. I haven’t done one of these since Fall. Now I may have to go back to the Farmers Market next weekend because they had so many flowers and most were only $4.00 a bundle.

Happy Friday! My vacation is officially over and I pretty much spent the whole week working in my garden, so I apologize for all the flower photos.

This is a view of my fenced in garden. The flowers on the left are zinnias, and next to them is beardtongue and in the background, butterfly bush. In about a month or so, this background will pop with lots of orange from my Mexican sunflower and yellow from the black eyed susan. I just hope my black eyed susan’s make it. They are struggling.

I have to say I have been enjoying working in the garden. It’s therapy to me. It just makes me feel good to sit back and see all your hard work start to bloom. I can’t wait to see what the garden looks like a month.
