Hi Everyone,
Today I have for you a special holiday drink that screams New Years and celebrates the season. Plus it’s low-calorie, which is a plus. It is my Cranberry Champagne Cocktail.
It’s made with two simple ingredients cranberry juice and champagne. It’s light, bubbly and has a wonderful hint of cranberry with the love of champagne. It’s a wonderful drink to bring in the New Year. It comes in at 118 calories a glass, which is not to shabby, so you don’t have to worry about bringing in the New Years with added calories.
To make the drink more festive I topped it with frozen cranberries. I like doing this because it keeps the drinks cold without watering it down. Also, if you tend to like your drinks a little sweeter, add a pinch of fine sugar to the cranberry juice before topping it with champagne. You can even use a low-calorie cranberry juice to even cut the calories even more.
- ¼ cup cranberry juice
- 4oz. champagne or sparking wine
- frozen cranberries for garnish (optional)
- Chill your champagne flute, then add cranberry juice and top the glass with champagne. Add a few frozen cranberries to garnish.
I hope you have a wonderful rest of the year and a fabulous 2016! It’s going to be a great year, I know it!
Cheers!
Toodles,
Jennifer
