Mango Carrot Smoothie

Hi Guys,

Have you seen the new smoothie drinks at Starbucks?  I have tried the Strawberry and Carrot Mango ones.  They taste great and seem to be relatively healthy for you considering it comes from SB.  So with my new-found love, I took one of Starbucks smoothies the Mango Carrot and decided to give it a go at home.  Since I am sharing it with you today, you can guess that it turned out.

The smoothie is made with simple ingredients, carrot juice, mango and ice. I added some water to blend better. This is a naturally sweet smoothie with the taste of carrots and a hint of mango. You have to like carrot juice otherwise this smoothie is not for you. Carrot juice is naturally sweet so no needed sugar in the smoothie. I used Bolthouse Farm brand that I bought at Target. It’s all natural, non-GMO and pretty darn good. Trader Joe’s also has a wonderful tasting carrot juice too. I will tell you that SB uses yogurt in their smoothie, I opted out of the yogurt, since I was looking for a light, refreshing drink. I didn’t want anything heavy. You could add greek yogurt if you like, I think it would be more hearty and make for a great breakfast or afternoon snack.
