Hi Everyone,
One thing I really love are salads. I’m not just talking about a salad with some vegetables, but I’m talking about a salad that has it all, protein, carbs and a good fat. All 3 of these elements will help you with any weight loss goal you may have. Even if your not wanting to lose weight, but just eat healthier the 3 magic ingredients will help you be happier and healthier. So I thought why not put together a round-up of healthy salads, plus a little chart of how to make a perfect salad. Let’s get chopping!
BBQ Chicken with BBQ Ranch Dressing – One of my favorite all time salads. I love the BBQ Ranch dressing, so simple and made with greek yogurt.
Caprese Chicken Panzanella Salad – I love the combo of tomatoes, basil and mozzarella and add chicken and it’s a full filling meal.
Chicken Caesar Salad – This is the first time I ever made homemade Caesar dressing, it’s amazing and so simple.
Grilled Vegetable and Tri-Tip Salad – I have to admit this is one of my all time favorite salads. I got inspired by this recipe by a steak house who really messd up my salad. I figured why not make my own?
My Big Fat Greek Salad – This salad is amazing on it’s own or you can fill a whole wheat pita and have it for a good lunch! Plenty to share.
Polynesian Salad – This is a combo of mango, onions and on a bed of cabbage. Love, love, love it!
Roasted Squash Mexican Black Bean Salad – I told you I can live on Mexican. Plus squash is one of my favorites! Yummers!
Spicy Thai Chicken Salad – A nice combo of vegetables plus the Thai dressing is amazing! It is peanut butter, peppers and soy, plus a little more. I could eat the dressing with a spoon.
Tropical Shrimp Salad with Mango Dressing – Yeah I love my mangos and what a healthy fruit to use as a dressing!
Fuji Apple Chicken Salad (Panera Bread Copycat Recipe) – I love Panera Bread but I do not get to go to often. So I thought why not make a lower calorie copycat recipe of one of my all time favorite salads from Panera.
Chinese Chicken Salad with Sesame Dressing – When I go to new restaurants, I normally go with a Chinese Chicken Salad because they are normally low calorie. I skip the wontons on top. So I made of my my favorites at home and it is sure to please.
You want to build a healthy salad? Here is a little chart to help you achieve that. Just post it on your refrigerator and mix and match!
Toodles,
Jennifer
