Peachilious Smoothie #SundaySupper

Hi Everyone,

Today for #SundaySupper we are sharing with you lighter side recipes.  I have to admit, since after Christmas I have been really trying to keep with the lighter side of things.  I have been drinking lots of smoothies for breakfast, light lunches and dinners with protein, vegetables and a healthy carbs.  I have been pretty happy with my progress.  Today I am sharing with you a new smoothie recipe that is packed full of vitamins and fiber.  With this wintery cold weather, I have been trying to get in more vitamin C and nothing beats freshly squeezed orange juice for a big kick of vitamin C.

My smoothie is made with orange juice, banana’s and peaches. Such a nice light refreshing combination. The first flavor you get is a nice orange flavor then you get a kick of peaches and the very last bit you taste a creamy banana.  Yum!  I think it is the perfect smoothie to have in the morning. Plus to zip it up and to give it a little touch of elegance, why not serve in a wine glass? There is no reason to have a smoothie in a regular old glass or plastic cup.

Here are the benefits of the smoothie.

Oranges – Helps prevents all kinds of cancer, lowers cholesterol, full of potassium, an electrolyte mineral is responsible for helping the heart function well. It also helps fight against viral infections, regulates blood pressure, and they are vitamin A rich. This nutrient contains carotenoid compounds like lutein, beta-carotene and zeaxanthin, which can help prevent age-related macular degeneration, diuretic effect which helps cleanse your kidneys and bladder.

Bananas are good for your heart. They are packed with potassium, a mineral electrolyte that keeps electricity flowing throughout your body, which is required to keep your heart beating. They help with depression, high in fiber, Full of vitamin B6 can also help protect against type 2 diabetes and aid in weight loss. Full of calcium so it keeps the bones healthy and strong. Plus banana’s also help with all kinds of cancer and helps with vision.

Peaches help reduce hair loss, keeps skin healthy, has a diuretic effect which helps cleanse your kidneys and bladder, reduces anxiety, calm an upset stomach, and a big Peach secret; shhhhhh, Peaches are thought to be an aphrodisiac.
