Today for #SundaySupper we had to make gifts from the kitchen. I have been looking so forward to today’s posts. I can’t wait to see what creative gifts everyone has come up with. I think one of the best gifts you can give people are gifts from the kitchen. Nothing like homemade goodies to share with friends and family. For my gift to give I made Chocolate Cranberry Nut Candy. Oh my gosh, amazing to eat!
These little chocolaty candies are sweet and savory and takes like 10 minutes to make total time. Makes for a quick gift in a pinch. The chocolate mixed with the salted, honey roasted peanuts is a combo to love. Plus you get a nice tart chew from the dried cranberries. I think this is a gift anyone who loves chocolate would like to receive. The only problem is actually giving them away. I think I ate 3 of them while taking the pictures, plus I’m thinking about them right now and I want one.
To make them I microwaved dark chocolate wafers and quickly mixed in my cranberries and nuts. With a cookie scoop, I just scooped them out and added to my pan to cool. This really couldn’t get more simple. I am serious, this took less than 10 minutes to make. It’s kind of scary knowing how simple they are to make.
- 12 oz dark chocolate melting wafers (I used Ghirardelli Chocolate)
- 1 cup nuts (I used salted honey roasted peanuts)
- ½ cup dried cranberries
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set a side.
- In a microwave safe bowl, add chocolate. Melt in microwave for 30 seconds, stir, place back in microwave and cook for 30 more seconds, stir. Cook for 15 second intervals, stirring in between each interval until chocolate is melted. Stir in nuts and cranberries.
- With a cookie scoop, scoop out candy and place on prepared baking sheet. Let cool completely.

Since I made my candies so big, they fit great in a standard size cupcake liner, but you can make them smaller in size, so you get more candies than 22. They would be pretty packed up in a white box or a pretty cookie tin or even a mason jar with a red ribbon around it.
