Hi Everyone,
Today I have a very different post for Yum Yum Wednesday. Today I teamed up with Applegate, Annie’s Natural and Stonyfield to share with you a fun kids lunch box meal. Lunch box meals means you can catch a few extra zzzz’s in the morning. I am all for that!
This is a Grab and Go lunch kit that you can feel great about! This is the first nationally available natural and organic lunch kit. There are three varieties available; Turkey & Cheese, Ham & Cheese, and Bologna & Cheese. I personally love the ham and cheese one. I may not have kids, but I believe these little lunch box meals is perfect for my lunch!
Each lunch box contains Stonyfield YoKids Squeezers, Annie’s Buttery Rich Crackers and yummy snacks, plus Annie’s all natural, organic meats and cheese. Little Jenny is obsessed with the YoKids Squeezers! Me, I’m all about the cheese, crackers and meat! One of my favorite go to snacks. I love that it is all ready for me to eat, now.
For my giveaway, Applegate is also giving A draw-your-own lunch bag, A set of permanent markers, and Activity book for the kids. This is a great way to get your kids involved in lunch. I know I would have been happy getting lunches like this when I was a kid. But as an adult, who says I can’t color in the book or draw on the lunch bag? You know I will.
You can find these adorable little Half Time Lunch Kits at Target, Safeway and other national supermarkets.
Ready for the giveaway? All you have to do is tell me what your favorite lunch was as a kid.
One lucky reader will get:
- All three varieties of HALF TIME: Turkey & Cheese, Ham & Cheese, and Bologna & Cheese
- A draw-your-own lunch bag
- A set of permanent markers
- Coupons
- Activity book
You just have to love that now you don’t have to worry about making lunches in the morning, meaning you can sleep in, drink coffee and spend time with your children.
Have a great day!
Toodles,
Jennifer
I was asked to review the products and share a giveaway. In return I received free product.
I have been a huge fan of Applegate, Annie’s and Stonyfield for years, and love that they all teamed up together. All opinions are my own.
Most of the time my mom packed me salami and cheese on white bread, some chips, a homemade cookie and I would get a chocolate milk at school.
A hot lunch at school that was my favorite was Beerocks. It’s a German meat pie. I live in an area where Beerocks are common as the german population here is plentiful. So my favorite lunch was Beerocks back when the school cafeteria cooked good ‘homemade’ food on premises.
I loved my sandwjches…salami, turjey, ham, PB&J, whatever. And I actually enjoyed a few school meals: chicken nuggets, and beefaroni. These lunches are a great idea for kids and busy moms!!

Bologna sandwich and Cheetos
Hot dogs and tatertots
Cream cheese and jelly sandwiches from my mom and bagel dogs from school
My favorite lunch to take to school was a strawberry jelly sandwich.
My favorite sandwich as a child was roasted turkey with tomato and lettuce in a pita pocket.
I remember salami sandwich with ketchup and I loved it.
I loved the hot dogs and potato salad from the hot lunch program. The potato salad was homemade and had onions, celery, radishes, boiled eggs and was yummy!
My favorite lunch as a kid was peanut butter sandwiches. I also loved leftovers especially thanksgiving leftovers!
My Dad used to make us refried black bean sandwiches with mayo on white bread. Heaven!
My favorite lunch as a kid was plain yogurt mixed with unsweetened applesauce, quick and healthy! Now I have my 4 year old daughter eating it too!
My favorite lunch was definitely ham and cheese sandwiches
As a kid I didn’t really care what my lunch was, as long as I had the snack cake in there for dessert. Having a ham or turkey sandwich was just a bonus.
My favorite lunch as a kid was the one my mom packed me for school. It was different everyday and always came from the leftovers of the previous night’s dinners. Fried chicken would become a chicken sandwich or meatloaf a meatloaf sandwich with lettuce and tomato etc. She’d include a vegetable of some sort, usually chips too. And dessert. Oh, dessert! She made homemade desserts almost everyday sooo it was so cool when that showed up (because it didn’t all get eaten the night before in our large family!)
The worst lunch was when she had nothing to give us but bologna. She knew I hated it and would “hide” it with lettuce and tomato and cheese. Really she should have left it off. A cheese sandwich would have been better. But being a good girl I ate instead of pulling it off the sandwich. LOL
As a kid, I ate peanut butter and jelly every day for lunch! Easy for mom, but pretty boring
I loved (& still love) peanut butter & jelly sandwiches!
I loved chicken sandwiches and homemade cookies.
My favorite lunch was a soup and sandwich combo. My mom would pack a thermos for me with soup and then make me a sandwich. It was enough to fill me up through the day and was perfect for the cold months. My favorite sandwich was always bologna with American cheese and of course potato chips stuffed in between. I still make this, but I’ve found healthier brands to do so that I can feel good about eating.
I loved almond butter and marshmallow fluff on while grain bread
