Hi Everyone,
Today I have for a quick under 20 minute meal for you. Nothing like a quick meal to serve up for dinner or at lunch and today’s recipe you can serve as both. So what do I have for you? I have my Buffalo Chic Wrap. Yum!! You know how much I love my Buffalo hot sauce flavor! I can’t get enough of it and now I can’t get enough of today’s recipe. Check it out!
This wrap is made with crispy MorningStar Farms Buffalo Chik Patties, a spicy ranch yogurt sauce, lettuce, tomato and flour tortilla. Pretty simple. It took me seconds to whip it together. The flavor of the wrap was simply a nice crispy, Buffalo Chicken flavor with a creamy, slightly saucy ranch flavor. I have to tell you it was a HUGE hit with the family.
Have you Guys every had MorningStar Farms Buffalo Chik Patties? Honestly, I was a little afraid. I never had a veggie patty, except for black bean, but never one that was substituting meat. I wasn’t sure how I would like it. I was pleasantly surprised on how yummy it was. It reminded me of a fried chicken patty with Buffalo chicken wing sauce. I served one of the wraps to my Husband for dinner, and I was beyond shocked when he said it was good. Now this is the man who would be afraid of a veggie patty. It was his first one and he said he loved it. Matter in fact he asked for another. So if you’re not a veggie patty kind of person, you should tried these, they may just surprise you.
As you can see I served it with Jalapeno on top, but that was just for decoration. I had a few in the fridge and thought they would be pretty on the wrap. Oh and the Buffalo Chik Patties would be great as a sandwich or in a salad. I’m thinking next time I’ll make a Buffalo Chik Salad.
One thing I forgot to tell you about is the dressing. I made my own healthy version of ranch dressing. I used a spicy ranch seasoning packet and mixed it in with plain greek yogurt. I love making this, lots of flavors without the calories. But if you’re not a ranch person, blue cheese dressing would be amazing on this wrap too. But honestly I have never been a blue cheese fan.
- 1 MorningStar Farms Buffalo Chik Patties
- 1 8" flour tortilla
- 1 romaine lettuce leaf, shredded
- ¼ cup tomatoes, sliced or diced
- Dressing:
- ¼ cup greek yogurt plain
- 1 tbsp. ranch seasoning packet (I used spicy ranch)
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
- Add chicken patty to baking sheet and bake for 8 minutes, flip and bake for 8 minutes more.
- Meanwhile to make the dressing; in a bowl, add greek yogurt and ranch seasoning; mix until well combined. Taste to see if it the desired flavor you like.
- Once patty is done from the oven, cut in half. Place the chicken patties on flour tortilla, top with dressing, lettuce and tomatoes. Roll up the tortilla and serve.
You can totally make this recipe even quicker, by cooking your MorningStar Farms Buffalo Chik Patties in the microwave, but I prefer the oven to give it a nice crisp flavor.
