Sweet and Savory Mango Relish / Giveaway #FarmtoJar

Hi Everyone,

It’s officially grilling season, at least here in California!  I love this time of year!  So what goes best on the grill?  Hamburgers, steak, chicken, pork, vegetables and my family favorite hot dogs.  So today I thought I would share with you a low-calorie, healthy hot dog topping that is sweet, savory and mighty good!  It’s my Sweet and Savory Mango Relish.

This relish is simply delicious! It’s made with mango, onion, jalapeno, cilantro and Farmer’s Garden Vlasic Baby Dill Chips. The flavor is sweet from the mango, spicy from the jalapeno and has a nice savory taste from the pickles. The pickles in this recipe really cool down the heat from the jalapeno. As you can tell I topped my hot dog with my mango relish and you know what? It tasted incredible and you don’t even need to add any additional topping. I have to say I was impressed! I teamed up with Farmer’s Garden by Vlasic to make this recipe. I have to be honest, I had a hard time coming up with a recipe because I simply like to eat my pickles plain, but after today’s recipe I changed my mind and so did the rest of my family!

Not only can you top hot dogs with this wonderful relish, but it would also be wonderful on hamburgers, chicken or even simply for dipping chips in it. It’s the perfect all around relish!! What’s even better it only takes about 10 minutes to make. Just chop your vegetables, fruit and pickles, mix together and refrigerate until ready to serve.

I was scoping out Farmer’s Garden website to see what kind of recipes they have on their site using these wonderful pickles. I have to say impressive! They have some great recipes from breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks! Yes drinks with pickles! You should check it out. I have leftover pickles and now I know what I can do with my leftovers, besides eat them! 🙂

Sweet and Savory Mango Relish

A healthy relish made with sweet mango, spicy jalapeno and savory baby dill chips.
Serves: 1½ cups
Ingredients
  • 1 cup mango, diced, peeled
  • ¾ cup Farmer’s Garden by Vlasic Dill Chips, diced small
  • ¼ cup onion, diced small
  • ½ jalapeno, seeded, diced (add more to make spicier)
  • ¼ cup cilantro leaves, diced small
Instructions
  1. Add all ingredients to a bowl, mix well and refrigerate until ready to serve. Top on Hot Dogs, Hamburgers or Chicken.
