Hi Everyone,
Happy Monday to you! I thought we could start the week out with a refreshing, healthy drink that is full of vitamin C and tastes like a dessert. I was shocked when I took the first sip. It was something I had when I 13 when my grandma took me to the mall. I got for the first time ever, an Orange Julius. I never had one and I remember how creamy and delicious it was. This drink tastes just like that.
I can’t get over how the combination of mango and freshly squeezed oranges can’t taste like a creamsicle. I gave a sip to my Husband and then he took another. He wouldn’t let go of the glass. I said do you want it? He said yes, it tastes like a creamsicle. I heard him slurping down the hallway as he took every last sip of his smoothie. I have to admit it is so good and this my friends will be on my smoothie rotation!
I have to say this is probably one of the best drinks to have during the hot summer days. I made this on Saturday morning and by 8am, it had to already be near 80. The sun is shining, the birds are singing and I was getting ready to go shopping. We have some new outlet malls near us and I can’t wait to go. As I said early this past week, I am in need of some summer clothes and with the hot heat were getting, I need some tank tops and shorts. I hope I can get some good finds.
- ½ cup mango, frozen
- 1 cup orange juice (I used freshly squeezed)
- ½ cup unsweetened coconut milk
- ¼ tsp. vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp. stevia (more to taste)
- ¾ cup ice
- Place all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
Well my Friends, time to go! Jenny told me she is ready to go shopping, so off I go!
