Hi Everyone,
HappyTuesday to you!! Today is another edition of Smoothie Monday Tuesday! You will have to forgive the photos on this smoothie. Due to bad timing, darn sun! My pictures came out dark and I only got a few decent ones to show you. But that doesn’t take away from the taste of the “Pretty in Pink Smoothie”.
I had this smoothie after my Zumba class and I couldn’t wait to come home and have it. I have actually made this smoothie a few times this past week. It’s made with banana, cranberry juice, coconut milk and vanilla protein powder. It’s so thick that it almost reminds me of a milkshake. I love the longer you process a smoothie with protein powder, the lighter, thicker and fluffier it is. The taste is sweet, yet slightly tangy, yet refreshing. This smoothie has it all and to boot it’s healthy for you!!
I love the pink color of the smoothie too! That’s why I named it Pretty in Pink. The pink color is like the color of cotton candy. It’s so girly! But it’s not a girly drink, it’s a drink for everyone. I know I have posted smoothies before using Ocean Spray’s Diet Cranberry Juice, such as my Christmas Cranberry Smoothie and the Diet Mixed Berry Smoothie, but I am officially addicted to that stuff! I can’t get over it’s 5 calories for a full cup! That’s what makes the smoothie so low in calories!
- 1 large banana, frozen
- 1 cup cranberry juice, diet
- ½ cup unsweetened coconut milk, from a carton
- ½ scoop vanilla protein powder
- ½ cup ice
- Add everything to a blender and process until smooth.
Well my Friends, time to get going. I need to make something for dinner, and I still don’t know what. You know you open the refrigerator door a dozen of times, debating what to make, then you walk away. Then you go back and stare, thinking something new is going to be in there. That’s how I am today. I need to make a meal plan so I don’t run into this issue. That would make life so much easier.
Have a great week!
Toodles,
Jennifer

Jennifer, I think your pics look great! But I know how you feel when the sun disappears right when you’re planning to do shots. This smoothie rocks!
