Banilla Breeze Smoothie

Happy April Fools Day!!

I don’t like Aprils Fools Day!  I never trust anything that happens on that day.  I don’t like tricks, it freaks me out.  Isn’t that weird?  However, I don’t mind playing a few tricks myself.  lol  Well today is another smoothie Monday!  I am telling you, I am soooooooo loving my smoothies!  It’s amazing of all the fun combinations you can make!!  Last Monday, I told you I was going to attempt a smoothie that tasted like cake.  Well I didn’t!  I was going to, but I wanted to keep the recipe healthy!  After all it’s the beginning of the week and after the weekend and Easter, it’s best to start the week off on the right foot!  So today I have for you a creamy, thick banana, vanilla smoothie!  I am calling it my Banilla Breeze!

This smoothie is so good and creamy and has a little bit of a tropical feel to it, do to the coconut milk.   What I love about it, is that it’s almost like a milk shake, but healthy!   And who doesn’t like a nice milkshake?

Ok, so I added a dab of whip cream over the top.  I just couldn’t resist!  Plus the sprinkles.  I was thinking cake when I was making this!  But this is way better than cake!!!  I have recently started getting into Protein Powders and I didn’t realize how thick Protein Powder can make a smoothie.  I am just loving that!  I tried protein powder about 6 months ago and I was afraid of using it again because I got a really bad stomach ache from it, but now it seems like I am ok using it.  That is why I have gone light on the powder in this recipe.  I just want to make sure I don’t get that stomach ache!  That was not fun!!  Do you use Protein Powder?  Do you have a brand you recommend?  I used Designer Whey French Vanilla that I picked up from Trader Joe’s.  I am liking the flavor of it, but if you have any other suggestions I would love it!

Well today I am off to Monterrey after work today!  It’s going to be a long drive and a long day, but it will be great to see all of my co-workers.  It’s so nice to get out of the office, even though I’ll still be working!

Have a great week!

Toodles,

Jennifer
