Hi Everyone,
Today is my last day in Vegas, even though I am writing this in advance, I know I will be leaving Vegas a millionaire! lol Ok, I’ll be happy if I break even, ok, I’ll be happy if I come home with enough money to pay for parking! But whether I win or lose, I know I will have had a blast! 🙂 I hope Jenny does!! I’ll fill you in on all the dirty details next week!
Today I don’t have a recipe for you, but I do have my weekly recap! But stay tuned tomorrow for a Valentine’s Day breakfast!!!
Weekly Recap:
Sunday: Pizza Wontons #SundaySupper – This was a great Sunday for Sunday Supper! I love appetizers and party foods! I swear I could eat a big plate of party foods for dinner and be very happy!! The pizza wontons are very easy to make and my Husband loved them!! But who doesn’t like pizza? I have another pizza recipe brewing in my head that I plan on making next week!!
Tuesday: Red Velvet Cookies – These cookies are so Valentine’s Day! I love that they are a cake like cookie! The only thing is they are so much better the day you make them!! I froze a batch and they didn’t turn out as good! So if you do make these, plan on eating them all that day!!
Tuesday: Nutella Truffles – I love these little treats! I took some to work, and I was surprised how much everyone liked them! I thought maybe they would be a little to healthy for my co-workers, but nope they gobbled these little Guys up right away! However on the other hand my Husband didn’t care for them! He said they were to chocolaty for him. Really? This is the man who eats a pound of See’s Chocolates in one sitting. I don’t get him??
Wednesday: Taco Bell Steak Cantina Burrito – Normally I don’t post meals like this, but I was asked to test out the new burrito and I was pleasantly surprised on how good it was! I haven’t had Taco Bell in over two years! It was a nice treat for a change!! Plus, I’m happy to not make dinner for a night!
Thursday: Chocolate Covered Strawberries – I have to say I love these! It was probably my favorite treat all week! I haven’t had a chocolate covered strawberry in forever! I think since last Mother’s Day? It’s really one of those treats you forget how good they are until you have one!!
Friday: Skinny Strawberry Mocha Frappe – This is my love potion! I really have so much fun making coffee drinks! Another wonderful chocolate and strawberry combination!! I had this drink a few times this week. I also made it with unsweetened coconut milk and Muah, it was good!!
I wanted to share with you my Friend Christi’s blog post from Mom, Whats for Dinner? This post speaks the truth about the blogging world, from blogging etiquette to marketing. If you’re a blogger or interested in blogging, then this is the post for you! Check out Christi’s blog and tell her I said hi!!
Speaking of blogs, people ask me why do you blog? Is it for money, heck NO (ha ha)!! Is it for fame? Nope! Then what is it for? For me, it’s sharing my creative side and giving me something to work for. I enjoy blogging, mostly because I can be creative. I try, to come up with new and fun creative recipes that my family, you and I will love. I thrive on challenging myself by coming up with everyday recipes and making them healthier. It doesn’t always work, but I try my darnedest. You won’t believe how many recipes don’t make it to you!! Cooking has become a semi-new love for me and I enjoy it so much! If it wasn’t for blogging, I wouldn’t try so many different foods and coming up with some crazy recipes! It would be chicken and vegetables every night! I want to thank you for that and I am sure my Husband would thank you too! It is your encouragement, advice and kindness that makes me do this everyday! I am blessed to become part of a foodie blogging community where everyone is so nice and welcoming! I have to admit, this is the best community out there!! With that said, that is why I blog!!
Well my Friends, that it for me today!
Have a great weekend!
Toodles,
Jennifer
P.S. This weeks craving is Funfetti Cookies! Who doesn’t like sprinkles??
