Hi Everyone,
It’s been a while since I shared a coffee drink with you, but I felt it was time! 🙂 When I was in Vegas there was a little coffee shop in our hotel that we stopped at everyday for our morning coffee and some slot playing. One of the drinks on the menu was a Chocolate Raspberry Frappuccino. Hmmm, thought, I could so make that and when I got home I sure did!! Meet my newest Skinny Coffee Drink!
I originally thought of using frozen raspberries in the drink, but I changed my mind because I didn’t want all the seeds, so I opted for raspberry extract by McCormick, that I picked up from my local grocery store.
I also used my basic recipe which is skim milk, unsweetened cocoa powder and partially frozen coffee. Blend all together and wala the frappe is born. But a frappe isn’t a frappe without the whip cream and chocolate drizzle which is included in the calculations. Total calories for this drink is 62.6. Oh and you get just over two cups worth! I like that!!!
The best way I can describe this drink is kind of like a Wendy’s frosty with a hint of raspberry! Oh yes please! It’s chocolaty, smooth and delish. This recipe makes enough for two servings, but it’s really to good to share!! I only used 1/4 tsp. of raspberry extract, but you may want a pinch more depending on how strong your coffee is. My coffee was kind of on the weak side so I didn’t want it to over baring on the raspberry!
- 1½ cups coffee, frozen, partially thawed
- ½ cup milk, non-fat
- ¼ tsp. raspberry extract
- 2 tsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ tsp. Stevia
- 2 Tbsp whip cream, fat free
- ½ tsp. chocolate syrup
- Place coffee, milk, raspberry extract, cocoa powder and stevia in a blender. Process until smooth.
- Top with whip cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup.
- Enjoy!
I have another idea for a coffee drink that I can’t wait to share with you , but I need more ideas! I have been asked to make butterscotch, which will be hard and chocolate. So give me more suggestions!!
I hope you like this weeks coffee edition. For more recipes, check out my recipe page under drinks! Have a great day!!
Toodles,
Jen
P.S. Plain is pretty too!

Hi, I bought mine at the local grocery store, Luckys/ Albertsons. It’s located with all the spices and other extracts. It’s by the brand McCormick. Here is their link. http://www.mccormick.com/Products/Extracts-and-Food-Colors/Extracts/Raspberry-Extract.aspx
