Hi Everyone,
I can feel it, Spring fever is just starting to hit me! I just hope it stays, but it’s not looking to promising. It was another beautiful day today, low 70’s and mostly sunny skies, however it’s starting to look a little cloudy and the rain is coming back. I know we need the rain, but come on, the weekend is almost here. Sigh… Oh well, I will take what I can get.
To celebrate my spring fever I made my newest favorite smoothie. I already had it 3 times this week. It’s so refreshing!! I call it my feel good drink! However, I don’t know what I like more about the smoothie, the taste or the color?
How cool is the color? That is one of the most awesomist (is that a word?) colors ever! The vibrant purple is totally cool. Oh and Thanks Ann from “Cooking Healthy for Me“, her blog yesterday was in 80’s theme and that’s how I spent my day talking.
- 1 banana, medium, peeled
- ½ cup blueberries, frozen
- 6 strawberries, frozen
- ½ cup milk, non-fat
- Place all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth!
Now don't let the carbs and sugar scare you. It's all natural ingredients and all good for you!!! The sugar is from the fruits and the carbs are from the banana.
Now your probably wondering why I named the smoothie Plum Crazy Purple, since there’s no plums in the smoothie? It’s name after the 1970’s Dodge Challenger car color. I have a little thing for Challengers, but as you can see from the picture below, I like the looks of the new ones better. Don’t you?
It’s another short post, but I must be going, I am off to run some errands tonight (Cost Plus, he he), have a wonderful Thursday!!!
But one more thing, I’m going to keep bugging you! That’s my job you know! If you like Peanut Butter and Peppers, please vote for my blog, it was nominated Best Healthy Eating Blog. Thank you! 🙂 To vote, just go here.
Toodles!
