Since I started this blog, I have kind of neglected my exercise. I really, really try to do it everyday, but things come in life and it’s not always possible. Well today I forced myself to do my Jackie Warner Extreme Time Saver Workout! It’s circuit training using dumbbells. It’s for 30 minutes, doing each exercise for 1 minute. One minute doesn’t sound like much, but trust me it is.
When I started to do her workout, I started off with 3lbs.dumbbells and now I use 5lbs. There is so much lifting, that I can’t imagine I’ll ever make it to 8lbs. The workout is tough. At the beginning of working out to this DVD I actually had nightmares that Jackie was yelling at me. Funny I know, but I was sore for like 3 days afterwards, my arms were shaking. That’s how I know it works! Now how did I do for 30 minutes today?
Not bad, 31 minutes and I burned 284 calories. My average heart rate was 136 and my max was 166. That’s pretty good, especially for a 30 minute circuit training DVD. You should check it out, but go slow if you start it! Proper form is best and Jackie is a real good instructor on telling you how to do it correctly. Ok Time to EAT!!!!!!
Whats on the menu tonight? I don’t know, but I guess I’ll wing it. It’s quite warm here, so I will fire up the grill and see what I have in the fridge. Ok, I got it!! Cheesy Stuffed Hamburgers! With all the talk of hamburgers at work today, I just needed to have one! Plus I had left over meat from dinner the other night and I needed to use it! Good excuse for a burger, right?
Cheesy Stuffed Hamburgers
Recipe:
8 oz of Lean Hamburger Meat – I use 96/4 (but you can use turkey meat too)
Dash of salt & Pepper
Dash of Onion and Garlic Powder
1 Wedge of Laughing Cow Chipotle Cheese – You can use any cheese you like
Directions:
In a bowl, using your hands, add your spices, then divide the raw meat into 4 equal pieces (I used my scale to measure). Flatten out the hamburger, and place 1/2 a cheese wedge onto each piece of hamburger. Take the other pieces of the hamburger and place on top of the cheese , and squish them togther and seal the edges so the cheese doesn’t ozzz out. Place on grill and cok until done. About 5 minutes per side.
Place the Hamburger on the bun (I toasted mine on the grill),and top with ketchup, mustard, lettuce and tomato. Serve with a pickle and some Skinny Fries from Trader Joe’s!
Serves 2 = 4oz burgers at about 300 calories each including the bun and condiments. Not bad for a stuffed burger!!!
All the ingredients. You’ll see I use allot of Parchment Paper. It’s nice stuff, I just throw out after I’m done, no clean up! I love it!
The divided Burgers with half the cheese on top.
Now there all put together, ready to go on the grill!
The finished product! The ohhhy, gooey cheesy stuffed hamburger. By the way, I squished them on the grill and it squirted all over, so don’t do that! The bun is a little messed up to, but it still tastes good! I bought these from Costco! there awesome Whole Wheat Buns, only 100 calories each by the brand Alpine. I buy a package and freeze them. Pop in the microwave for 20 seconds, cut open and then place on the grill. You would never know they were frozen.
This meal was delish!!! Served with Trader Joe Skinny Fries and a dill pickle! Now time for dessert! Enjoy!!!
