When I found out today was International Hot & Spicy Day I just had to post all of my favorite healthy, spicy recipes. After all one of my favorite kind of food is hot and spicy!! Actually I think it’s my favorite! My Husband always asks, what is your stomach made of? Tin? Nope, my belly loves some heat! Funny, I eat spinach I get a stomach ache. If I eat a hotter than h-e double hockey sticks meal, I have no issues and I am happy!! So let me show you my favorite Hot & Spicy Recipes!!
First Up is My Baked Buffalo Chicken Fingers! These fingers are crispy and pack the right amount of heat! I think I need to make these soon! Perfect for the Super Bowl.
Here is my Buffalo Chicken Wing Dip! This is healthy, low calorie and perfect for dipping pita chips or tortilla chips, also celery and carrots. I love this dip!
Buffalo Chicken Wing Wontons, oh man! Love these little wontons! Super low in calories and very easy to make. This recipe is pretty popular with my friends. My good friend Andrea made them for the Super Bowl last year and she said they were a hit.
Grilled Cheesy Jalapeno Peppers! I know this time of year, it’s really not grilling season, but if you can pull the grill out, you must make these! So good! I love that the cheese lightens up the heat in the peppers.
Guacamole with a Kick! This is what made me fall in love with avocados! This dip is low calorie and has the perfect amount of heat without being overwhelming!
Jalapeno and Artichoke Hummus! This is wonderful for dipping veggies and chips in. It’s low calorie, delicious and it just darn good. I took this to work and everyone loved it!
Shrimp Stuffed Anaheim Peppers – I made this one Sunday night and oddly enough my Husband really liked them. It packs the right amount the heat and let me tell you, shrimp and peppers go so well together!
You like bread? How about some Jalapeno Cheese Bread? This is a quick bread that can be made in a flash! It’s cheesy with hints of jalapenos. This is fabulous with a big bowl of soup!
Like pretzels? How about Jalapeno and Cheese Pretzel Rolls? Super quick to make! It’s a nice yeast bread that only takes less than 30 minutes to make! Perfect for a mini sandwich or eating on it’s own!!
These aren’t the most healthy recipe, but dam good! These are my Grilled Sweet & Spicy BBQ Chicken Wings. So good and messy! I love it!
Jalapeno Cilantro Hummus! I make this dip all of the time for parties. Everyone loves it and it is so guilt-free. It has just right amount of heat and very low in calories! It’s my Trader Joe’s copycat recipe.
In the mood for a sandwich? I always make my Buffalo Chicken Panini Sandwich when I have leftover chicken and I need a quick meal. It is so hot and spicy and pure heaven in my eyes!
I am sooooo drooling over the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich! I made this in the Crockpot and dam is it good! I think the picture speaks for it’s self!
Maybe your more into meatballs? Try some spicy Buffalo Chicken Meatballs. Serve them as an appetizer or make a fatty sub! This was the first time I used ground chicken and I was impressed on how good it turned out!
Maybe you like salad, but want a small kick of heat? Here is my latest salad, my Spicy Thai Chicken Salad. I love this salad so much!! I could eat it everyday!

I totally had fun with this post today. I didn’t think I made that much spicy food, but I did! Now my mouth is watering for some heat! I guess that means pepper dinners are coming up. I better prepare my Husband now, because it’s coming and I can’t wait to start cooking!
