Hello and Happy Saturday!
When I arrived home from work yesterday there was a surprise on my kitchen counter, I opened it and was so excited I couldn’t control myself. I got my first batch of cookies from the “Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap”. I got a dozen of Raspberry filled White Chocolate Bars that I couldn’t resist, I ate four right off the bat, they were so good and addicting. She also gave me bonus cookies, Thumbprints with Chocolate and Caramel, I ate one of those too, so yummy!! and a Peppermint Bark Snowflake, which is my favorite! I have a BIG thing for Peppermint! I can’t wait to bite into that. I was planning on sharing with my family, but I may forget that, there to good to share! That’s where the tummy ache came in! I ate to many, to soon, one right after another. But hello, how could I not? I’m doing laundry with one cookie in my hand. I need help! lol
My cookies came from “That Skinny Chick Can Bake“. When I saw her business card, I knew they would be good! I love her blog! I’ve been to it a few dozen times! Also included in my box, was a beautiful Christmas towel, which will be hanging in my kitchen tomorrow. I plan on doing my decorating this weekend! Thank you Liz for the wonderful tasty cookies and gift. I so appreciate them. I can’t wait to get the recipe for the cookies!! I LOVE them!!
You have to check her blog out, wonderful recipes! Thank you again, ok, heading onto cookie number 6 and dinner is going to be ready in an hour. Eck!!!
Even though I was full from the cookies, I did make dinner and it’s a good dinner to. This morning before work I through together a quick Crockpot meal of the famous ”Pork Chops and Apples”.
The Boneless Pork Loin was so tender, it stayed in one piece but you didn’t need a knife to cut it. The flavors of Apple Cider, Rosemary and Thyme really set this recipe apart from my basic Pork Chops and Apples.
Sorry for the yellow lighting again, my Husband said he’s going to get new bulbs, so hopefully I won’t have yellow looking food anymore. :) Taking pictures is hard.
