We made it half way through the week! Hows your week going? I have been busy with work and coming home and cooking and squeezing in exercise! I want to tell you how much I enjoy blogging and how much I enjoy reading your comments. Your all so wonderful! You really inspire me to do my best! It gives me that warm fuzzy feeling inside, and so does this dish! :)
I decided to make my Husbands Chili recipe for dinner! I followed it exactly and I must say it turned out really good! It’s hearty, chunky, and a little kick of heat but not much! I like people to add there own heat, so I added Franks Hot Sauce to mine! Love my Franks! I really love this dish! Sometimes you forget how much you enjoy a certain food until you make it again!! Tomorrow I will be having the last remaining bowl for lunch! I can’t wait! Chili always tastes better the next day!
Here are the ingredients I used. Not much here, but a lot of flavor packed in!
In a large pot I sauted the beef with the onions. My Husband did say I didn’t cut the onions small enough, maybe next time? They really bother my eyes, so I cut as quick as I can.
Then I added the rest of the ingredients. Simple!! I cooked it on a very low heat for 1 1/2 Hours. You can do this for 30 minutes, it’s just I needed to stretch the time, since my Husband wasn’t home from work yet and I had other things to create.
Wally’s Beef Chili
1 lbs. Ground Beef, Lean
1 Med. Onion diced
2 Cans of Diced Tomatoes (15 oz each)
1 Can of Fired Roasted Diced Green Chili’s (4oz)
1 Can of Kidney beans
2 Tbsp. of Chili Powder or more to taste
Dash of Salt
Directions:
In a large Pot, cook the Beef with the onions, once beef is cooked through, drain any fat you may have or cook until it evaporates. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir. Cook for about another 30 minutes or like me on low heat for 1 1/2 hours.
That’s it, top with some cheese.
Makes exactly 8 Cups

Nothing can beat healthy comfort food! Nothing, I tell ya!!
Have a wonderful day, oh and see that bread in the center of the table? That’s tomorrows recipe! So good!!!!! Stay tuned….

i made chili last week and went a little heavy on the veggies hahah soo it was basically meat and vegetables with tomatoes in there somewhere! still good though
I would so go heavy on the veggies to, but my Husband is not into that. Thats why I have fend for yourself night, that way I can make whatever I like, niormally squash or sweet potatoes and he can have the bad for you food!
This chili looks very well balanced. My husband is not in favor of beans in chili so his version is way too meaty. I will need to try your version for myself, it looks so hearty and tasty. Great post.
Wally’s chili looks just the way I like it! Now I’m in the mood for a batch
I can promise you that I will be making this recipe
looks wayyyyy too good to pass up!
